Update: If you're having trouble getting the Microsoft Rewards Top 10 punch card to work, you're not alone! It doesn't appear to be working for everyone just yet, so keep trying it over the next few hours / next couple of days.
If you're wondering what it is, the punch card requires you to complete just one achievement from a select number of Xbox Game Studios titles, and in return you'll get an extra 500 points.
So, with everything together, you're looking at (at least) 2500 Monthly Bonus Round points!
Original story: It's that time again! We're big fans of the Microsoft Rewards program here at Pure Xbox, which allows you to complete tasks in order to earn redeemable points which can be spent on gift cards, donations and much more.
April 2021's "Monthly Bonus Round" challenge has just begun, and by satisfying a few easy requirements by April 15th, you can top up your account by another 2000 points (around £2 / $2).
You'll find this punch card on the Microsoft Rewards app for console, and here's what you'll need to do:
- Complete a Bing search on five separate days
- Complete 3 "daily sets"
- Earn 3 achievements in Xbox One / Series X / Series S games
- Complete the Microsoft Rewards Top 10 punch card
- Complete a quiz for up to 50 extra points
Additionally, the web-based version of Microsoft Rewards is currently giving away an extra 150 points for completing a very basic punch card about education, and if you're playing Outriders on Xbox Game Pass this weekend, you can pick up an extra 250 points for simply playing the game and obtaining one achievement.
If you're new to the Microsoft Rewards program, this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of obtaining points - you can also earn hundreds per-day by completing Bing searches on PC and mobile, earning Achievements in Xbox games, finding Weekly Treasures, pre-ordering specific games and much more. Where do I find the "Top 10 punch card"? I have no idea what this one is??
@T0N10 You're right, it doesn't appear to be live yet. Give it a few hours (or maybe even a day-or-two) and it should appear.
Has anyone else used the auto-redeem feature in the Rewards app on console?
It's supposed to give you the voucher on the 1st of the month if you have enough points. Yet mine seems to have done nothing, except reset its date til 1st May.
Anyone?
@FraserG thought I was bring stupid. Cheers
Wow that’s a ton of easy points this month :3
@Dezzy I use it and have noticed the £5 credit usually appears in my MS account on the 2nd/3rd but the 5500 points are deducted from my total on the 1st. I've never received a notification about it happening but it has always happened.
@Dezzy it can take hours to redeem
Looks like there is 5000 bonus points if you spend £35 in the sale. Last time I spent vouchers I had collected with reward points which counted towards this. They are just giving games away at this stage. Doesn't save me any money though as I just spend money on Switch and PlayStation games instead.
@Enigk
Where are you getting that from?
@Dezzy Just below the Reward Yourself/Earn More boxes on the Rewards App it is showing for me. Headed "Easter Sale". A bit early as the sale hasn't started yet but fingers crossed it's open for everyone by tomorrow.
Just checked and it is on the Rewards webpage too.
@Enigk Sale is likely to go live in a few hours' time (but officially live tomorrow), so yeah - it should be active relatively soon.
It is not available in my region for some reason.
@belmont yeah I've found that these are never in Canada for whatever reason
Gosh I am going for that outriders achievement. Seems like the first achievement you can get is completing the prologue. Was just going to use this for the 250pt punch card, 50pt daily achievement quest and to top up whatever punch cards need a a number of achievements.
But yeah, after a number of connection errors I managed to get in to the game. Played it for twenty minutes and now I keep getting connection errors again. Hopefully I can get back into it soon. Luckily you can skip about half of the cut scenes and all of the dialogue when you are actually playing.
I’m pretty much screwed with the ‘Complete the Microsoft Rewards Top 10 punch card’ as I’ve finished all the games in the top 10 and the few remaining achievements that are left are either too grindy or I just have no desire to finish a game again on a higher difficulty just to earn an extra achievement. That’s me not getting the 2000 points.
Any tips on the easiest/quickest achievement to pick up in that top 10?
I've played through gears 5, battletoads, Forza Horizon 4 and the Halo MCC campaigns already but didn't hunt for achievements in any so I'll only have the basic amount of achievements for a casual playthrough on those games. I think The Medium is XSX exclusive so I can't play that anyway and I'm not keen on starting Ori 2 for an achievement as I actually want to make some time to play that game properly.
I also seem to have issues actually activating this punch card at the moment too 🤔. I click activate but it just takes me out to the main rewards page and the quest still reads 0/2 complete (activating it should have been the 1/2)
edit: forget this, I activated it, I have a gears 5 achievement lined up too, something about completing 3 different types of multiplayer game...
Edit 2: I actually played one game of gridiron with bots on gear 5 and got an achievement for getting a touch down!
The only punch card I'm seeing is the Top 10 which took a few road races in Forza Horizon 4 to get an achievement. So that's that one done.
I'm close to the equivalent of £40 after around 2 and a half months of doing rewards..can't complain
I've tried to do those bing searches in 4 different browsers but they don't seem to activate in the rewards app... That is pissing me off :/ Otherwise the rewards program is really cool and all that, GP is the best thing ever, but damn those bing searches!
@Static1 have you checked that you are logged into your Microsoft account on the various browsers? Near the top right of the search page it should show your MS profile pic if you have one (not your Xbox pic unless it's the same), a trophy with a circle that moves when points get added and the number of points. This is for PC/Xbox browsers. I'd just use Edge on Xbox though because it counts toward the PC Search and the Edge Bonus! 102 points in total from 90+12. But yeah you should see your points tally go up in that top right corner as you do the searches.
I think you log into the Bing mobile app when you install it but should show your profile pic down the bottom
If that's all good and the Rewards App on Xbox ain't showing you the search points, you might need to quit the app completely (Menu button over the icon and Quit) and reopen it and the total should have amended.
@ralphdibny Thanks. Just figured something out. The only way untill now to get that bing search counter to go up is to install the bing app on my phone and log into my account. Not such a huge fan of the app but hey it gets the counter going.
I was logged in on my MS account like you mentioned, through edge on my xsx, maybe I should reinstall edge on it...
But enough for today, back to yakuza 6 Thanks for your advice
@Static1 no problem! Yeah I don't like the bing app either, I literally only use it for nonsense searches so I can get the points lol. Happy Yakuza-ing!
Anyone else not had any achievement count towards the Top 10 card? I unlocked 3 achievements in Master Chief Collection after activating the punch card and nothing.
Yes I've had the same for halo. I'm going to try another of the games.
Can you get the top 10 achievement via xcloud? I got a MCC achievement through xcloud and every time I click on the punch card to complete it, it just redirects me to my Xbox game library as if to say “ok, go ahead and do it.”
