Today's the day! Square Enix and People Can Fly's new co-op RPG shooter Outriders is officially available across all platforms as of today, and it's also included on console and Android devices with Xbox Game Pass.
If you've never heard of Outriders, the game is a 1-3 player 'drop-in-drop-out' shooter set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe, combining intense gunplay with violent powers and twisted weaponry.
We've been covering Outriders on Pure Xbox throughout the week, so you can find more information on it across the site, and we're also currently working on a review which you'll be able to check out over the next few days.
"As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and embark on a journey across the hostile planet.
With rich storytelling spanning a diverse world, you’ll leave behind the slums and shanty towns of the First City and traverse forests, mountains and desert in the pursuit of a mysterious signal."

I am downloading it now. I hope to atleast solo the story then move on
I’ll be sure to give it a go now when it’s on Game Pass. Wasn’t awfully impressed by the demo to be honest but the full game might turn out to be good.
Still boggles my mind how people could sink 100+ hours into the demo... surely all those low level legendaries won’t be viable for very long eh?
@Relygon You can craft on top of items like leveling the item or even changing its abilities so it depends on the player.
I put about 5 hours into it yesterday. Lvl 14 Technomancer WT7. Very fun once you learn how combat usually works. Waves of enemies rush you and you use the map to your strategy. Definitely what I was looking for.
@Halucigens Ah, that makes sense. As soon as I’m finished with God of War and I’ll boot up my Xbox and play it. Pre-loaded it with the app so it should be ready to go.
Tried the demo. Liked the gunplay, but did not like the game overally. However, as a GP title, I will download the full game and give it another chance.
Installing now...
We've been playing all morning and been having a blast with it! Thank god for crossplay and xcloud, great to be able to play with both of my kids at the same time!!
I installed it last night, I'm definitely going to try it out later today.. The game reminds me alot of Gears.
@Bmartin001 Ive heard that. That’s it’s more like Gears(less like Destiny that people keep comparing it to..)
@redd214 It's a blast. Really enjoying the game myself.
@Halucigens yeah, it's not going to win any awards and will probably be a solid 7 on Metacritic but it's a fun romp especially with others!
@redd214 I definitely agree with you. I'm having fun just playing solo. Lots of havoc on the battlefield. Feels like gears/diablo.
I'm loving it, feels like a Gears and Destiny hybrid with a healthy dose of Dooms fast paced combat (I'm playing Tricksters assin tree, so lots of shotgun and melee action going on).
Hopefully there's enough end game to keep the grind fun.
Any class suggestions for someone who is (mostly) gonna play solo?
@Nightcrawler71 I'm having a pretty good time with the technomancer and i'm going healing route. Just keep riding the world tier and if a battle gets too difficult and you die a few times, put the world tier back a level. Use the map to your advantage and the mobs will come to you.
@Halucigens stick with lower world tiers until you level up a bit and are starting to grind for end game loot.
The drop level is negated by the increase in enemy level, and everything you get early on just get mashed up for Mats.
It looks like you get the same amount of experience per kill on tier 3 or tier 15, so make your life easier and enjoy the campaign.
@Mr-Fuggles777 Yep I've been sticking between world tier 6 or 7 depending on boss difficulty.
@Halucigens thanks. After a bit of online research though I chose to go with Trickster, which so far has been much more fun than the pyromancer (which I used for my first character, but have since ditched). The trickster “slow trap” skill is a godsend when you are overwhelmed (especially when playing solo).
It’s fun. Glad you can just pick it up and down, having a crappy schedule makes it tough.
