Last week saw the release of DOOM Eternal's second expansion in the form of The Ancient Gods - Part Two, concluding the 'Slayer Arc' which first started with the release of the rebooted DOOM back in 2016.
However, in a message to fans on Twitter, celebrating the one year anniversary of DOOM Eternal which took place on Saturday, March 20th, developer id Software confirmed that more updates are in the works.
No further details have been provided as of yet, but we do know that DOOM Eternal is targeting an Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S upgrade at some point in 2021, so hopefully we'll hear about that sooner rather than later.
Aside from that, it's anyone's guess! New features? New DLC? Who knows what's in store...
What are you still hoping to see from DOOM Eternal in 2021? Let us know in the comments below.

I still think 1st party DLC should be in gamepass ultimate so I'm hoping they do that at some point in 2021.
@Krzzystuff That's how Game Pass works. They get money through subs, then they charge for DLC after you're invested in a game. Every game is now a potential platform; it's essentially a premium F2P model.
I'm not saying this is true for every game on the platform, nor is this inherently a bad thing. It could certainly be abused, though.
The fact they called it a year one pass was basically saying they were Guna release more dlc as part of a year 2 pass
@Thaliard this is right, provided they dont shrink the games down to get you to buy DLC I'm comfortable with this model. For example I happily bought the DLC for Horizon 4 before I even got my Series console knowing I'd want it but the model wouldnt work if a new Horizon only got 50 cars and the other 600 odd are behind a pay wall.
