SIX. MORE. DAYS.
I feel might be the only person looking at all the games EXCEPT Cyperpunk 2077 as I will be waiting patiently till next year for the proper next gen console versions, and a few obligatory patches no doubt.
So no ones talking about the Panzer Dragoon: Remake. If its the same game from the OG Xbox i'm surprised there aint more hype
@Gaming365247 its a remake of the first game from the Sega Saturn, Orta was the fourth entry and actually looks and plays brilliantly through backwards compatibility
Nice, Bring on Cyberpunk..
@themightyant i had that thought process originally but when i heard there is no date for next gen at all other then 2021 and that i dont believe next gen looks so much better yet...i have a series X and a One X and so far other then the ray tracing effects the games dont look much better....the load times are great though.
@themightyant You are not alone. I expect this game to lauch a broken mess, given how they been trying to hush anyone that got an early copy.
I got plenty of stuff on my backlog, that still includes the Witcher 3, so.... yea I'm not messing with this one until after it seen plenty of patches. Assassins Creed is the only open world buggy game I subject myself to bugs for on launch month.
@Gaming365247 It's not the same game. The OG XBox game was Phanzer Dragoon Orta, technically Phanzer Dragoon 3. Main series is basically:
🐲 Phanzer Dragoon (1995 saturn game, this is its remake)
🐲 Phanzer Dragoon II Zwei (1996, saturn, despite number, its actually a prequel)
🐲 Phanzer Dragoon Orta (2002, OG Xbox, not direct sequel to either the above)
There is also Panzer Dragoon Saga, a JRPG, interesting take on the series with walking 3rd person sections and rails shooter combat/action sequences.
A likely reason there is not much hype right now for the remake is that the game has been out for almost a year on the Nintendo Switch.
@Blessed_Koz Seeing the difference between PC and Xbox One (running on Series X) i'm happy to wait. I believe CDPR are a company that will do the absolute maximum to take advantage of the new hardware. If that takes 6-12 months it doesn't bother me one bit. I don't need to be part of the zeitgeist and would prefer the least buggy version and to roll straight into the DLC.
@Tharsman Exactly!
Lockdown has actually been good for my backlog - though, like the universe, it's ever expanding - I finally got round to some huge epics that were in danger of never being played and weighing heavily on my internal list of shame.
This included Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3 & Dragon Quest XI S, each 100+ hours and each fabulous.
If you think Witcher 3 might be your jam get involved... or don't... wait for already announced free next-gen upgrade
@themightyant I have not touched due to multiple reasons.
For one, i want to go through the books and (don't spoil this please) the third game has a huge spoiler that ruins the climax for the entire book series.
But also because every time i get the game (bought it too many times) another thing comes up.
First, on sale for PS4
Then they announce the game of the year edition.
Then they announce the switch ed with pc cross save (at the time this sounded like the best way to play)
Now they announce a Series X optimized version that i can also play via console streaming, even better than the switch/PC cross save option!
I expect similar to happen with Cyberpunk.
Still buying it for PS4 since my partner wants it for Christmas, but I personally wont play it until i get the optimized for Series X version.
@Tharsman Ha! I was in a very similar boat. Bought it thrice before playing GOTY version on PS4. Also read the books first. I liked them but they aren't for everyone. (no spoilers)
Re: Cyberpunk. If early reviews are to be believed, embargo just dropped, it launched buggy as hell as expected. Happy to wait.
