With the release of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S just around the corner, Microsoft has shared its latest official look at the two next-gen systems in the form of a controller unboxing video.
This unboxing spans the Carbon Black, Robot White, and Shock Blue controllers, and the video includes some behind-the-scenes insight from lead Xbox Series X|S controller designer Ryan Whitaker.
If you fancy getting your hands on these for yourself, they're all available to pre-order now over at the Microsoft Store, but keep in mind the Carbon Black controller comes with the Series X, and the Robot White with the Series S.

Don’t fix what’s already the best, driving the cost.
IDK. Robot White makes me thing X360...and then looks too much like PS5. Carbon Black is the default, hard to go wrong, but feels "same old." Hedgehog Blue is fun...but I had a PS4 controller in a similar blue. Maybe I need Banjo Brown to make it different
That one on the banner that's 1/3 blue, black, & white is pretty cool. I like that the best.
Though now that I say it out loud it feels a little too political at the moment, so maybe not.
Black is just your typical boring black, white is also boring but it will look bad after a few years, blue is the clear winner here.
I personally dislike white because it gets dirty fast, the blue one I like the uniformed buttons instead of the colours but again the white back is a deal breaker for me so I’m happy with my black for now, may get a custom design lab when that’s available again just to get the black and grey theme
I like the black and white ones the most. The blue one is cool, but then it's also black and white in some parts, it's just a little too much. Just give me a black controller that disappears on my couch and I can sit on because the lights are too dim.
