We've been keeping a particularly keen eye on hardcore FPP (first person parkour) slasher Ghostrunner ever since it received a release date for Xbox One last month, and now it's also been confirmed as getting an Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S upgrade in 2021, available at no extra charge.

We're not sure whether this will be available via Xbox Smart Delivery just yet, and ultimately details about the next-gen version are thin on the ground for now, with no specific release date or features provided.

If you can't wait until then, the Xbox One version of Ghostrunner arrives as soon as next week (Tuesday, October 27th), and you can pre-order it now on the Microsoft Store to get a 10% discount.

Ghostrunner offers a unique single-player experience: fast-paced, violent combat, and an original setting that blends science fiction with post-apocalyptic themes. It tells the story of a world that has already ended and its inhabitants who fight to survive.
