With the release of Assassin's Creed Valhalla right around the corner, Netflix has announced that it's developing a live-action Assassin's Creed series, described as "an epic, genre-bending live-action adaptation."
We don't know much else about it for now, but Ubisoft's Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik are confirmed to serve as executive producers on the project, as revealed as part of the teaser below.
According to a PR email, this new agreement between Ubisoft and Netflix will "tap into the iconic video game’s trove of dynamic stories with global mass appeal for adaptations of live-action, animated, and anime series."
Here's what Peter Friedlander, Vice President, Original Series at Netflix, had to say about the deal:
We’re excited to partner with Ubisoft and bring to life the rich, multilayered storytelling that Assassin’s Creed is beloved for. From its breathtaking historical worlds and massive global appeal as one of the best selling video game franchises of all time, we are committed to carefully crafting epic and thrilling entertainment based on this distinct IP and provide a deeper dive for fans and our members around the world to enjoy.

Netflix Interactive Entertainment
I would like to them to make more interactive shows like Bandersnatch.
more science fiction on tv is always very welcome
Never played any AC games so whatever the story is i wouldn't get disappointed. Hopefully it's not a Viking one because there are so many Viking shows already on Netflix but in the end of watch it anyway.
This could be very awesome. Going to be optimistic about this for now, yet ever hopeful.
Just started playing and loving Assassin's Creed: Origins a couple days ago (only completed the first two in 2010) Never played any of the others nor seen the film. Got ALOT of content to 100% until this releases!!
