Ubisoft announced as part of today's Ubisoft Forward event that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is getting a free next-gen upgrade later this year, supporting 4K visuals and 120 frames per-second.
Few details were provided during the stream, although given that Ubisoft has mentioned the update is coming to "next-gen consoles", we're assuming the Xbox Series S will benefit similarly to the Xbox Series X.
It's previously been confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege will also support cross-generation matchmaking on Xbox, meaning that if you decide to upgrade to next-gen this year but your friends don't, you'll still be able to party up together.
Pleased about this? Will you be taking advantage of 4K, 120fps? Let us know in the comments.
