Take-Two has announced that Moon Studios - famous for creating the Ori series of games - is working on a brand-new action-RPG to be published by its Private Division label (thanks GamesIndustry.biz).
The company says that the game is in early development and isn't expected to launch for at least a couple of years, along with two new titles from developers League of Geeks (Armello) and Roll7 (OlliOlli).
"Our partnerships with Moon Studios, League of Geeks, and Roll7 continue to enhance Private Division's roster with more of the game industry's best creative talent from around the world. We are thrilled to work alongside these experienced developers to provide them with the support needed to propel their creative visions to the next level."
Despite today's announcement, this isn't the first time we've heard about this new action-RPG - a job listing indicated last year that the studio was advertising for a game designer "to work on an RPG that dares to innovate and go far beyond what the genre has offered players thus far.”
And according to an interview with GameSpot back in May, the game will be "about humans and so on."
Excited for a new action-RPG from the Ori developer? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

It would be nice to see them from their comfort zone.
Oh god I don't trust the new take-two after what they have done to NBA2K
Microsoft should have brought Moon Studios under it's Xbox Game Studios umbrella.
Even still, I can't wait to see what the company comes up with next!
@GamingFan4Lyf 1000% agree
Q) Excited for a new action-RPG from the Ori developer?
A) I have enjoyed both of the Moon Studios games (Ori and the Blind Forest is still battling it out with ReCore for the spot of my favourite Xbox One game) and there are many Action-RPGs I enjoy so this is certainly a promising start to their next game for me.
Of course it's early days and my view could differ later on but I've had a good track record with enjoying their games and so shall naturally keep an eye out for news on this game.
I wonder if this means Microsoft passed on publishing rights for this title. Mojang just published an ARPG, after all.
@GamingFan4Lyf There is a high chance MS did make offers to both, Moon Studios and StudioMDHR (Cuphead,) but they declined the offers. I hear that happens a lot more regularly than you would think. Sometimes the dev wants to keep their independence an doors open to branch off in whatever direction they want without having to do a pitch to a single company, or by going to other media and making an animated series, or what not.
@GamingFan4Lyf Yeah, I just figured out Moon wasn't part of XB Studios. This mean MS preferred to buy a bunch of studios instead of the creators of two Ori games... Amazing.

Maybe, but with studios that size it's hard to believe they will not want the financial security of MS umbrella. But who knows.
Hi there fellow gamers. The Ori franchise is great. loved The blind Forest and currently enjoying Will of the Wisps.
It´s not so easy to make a good RPG, but I have faith in Moon Studios. Take your time and make something awesome.
Cheers, saty safe and happy gaming to us all
@Makina
Microsoft can’t force Moon Studios to sell. So Microsoft didn’t “prefer” to buy a bunch of studios & not Moon Studios. A lot of studios love their independence.
@KelticDevil Of course they can't force then. But, do they even try to buy it? Any source?
