The third season in Fortnite's second chapter was scheduled to release later this month on April 30th, but has now been pushed back to June 4th. Announced via the Epic Games blog, the company refrained from explaining the reasons behind the move, but promised more content is on the way.
In the statement, it was hinted that new updates with "fresh gameplay" are in the works for this season:
"Before then, there’s lots of content coming in the current Season. We have multiple game updates on the way that will deliver fresh gameplay, new Challenges, bonus XP, and a couple more surprises up our sleeve!"
With that said, a new update has actually been released for the game today, adding new Spy Games Tech as well as a few updates to the Battle Royale map (thanks FortniteBoards). Epic Games hasn't provided patch notes for much of this yet, aside from changes made to the game's Creative mode.

I would much prefer Epic put some effort into a new Unreal Tournament. With a proper campaign. 🙏
