It's almost time for the last big event of the year! The Game Awards 2022 promises more major reveals for a variety of upcoming games, as well as some celebrity appearances and live performances - and of course, plenty of awards!
What Can We Expect From The Game Awards 2022?
The host of The Game Awards 2022, Geoff Keighley, has confirmed that around 30-40 games will be showing new content at the event, along with "a fair number of new game announcements". We know that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be highlighted during the show, and Diablo 4 also appears to be revealing a June 2023 release date as part of it.
In terms of Xbox Game Studios, it's really anyone's guess. We're hoping the likes of Forza Motorsport, Starfield, Redfall, Hellblade 2 and/or Avowed could potentially make an appearance, and maybe we'll even get a shadow drop for Goldeneye 007 on Xbox Game Pass? Fingers crossed!
When Is The Game Awards 2022?
The Game Awards 2022 takes place on Thursday, December 8th at 4:30PM PT / 7:30PM ET / 12:30AM GMT. As part of this, there's a 30-minute pre-show called the "Opening Act" before the main event begins.
It's expected that the main show will last anywhere from a couple of hours to three hours.

Last year was the first time I watched the game awards live. It was so late at night, I regretted watching that so much because the quality was so poor. Never doing that again.
Will have to watch it tomorrow since it starts way too late for us Europeans.
@BBB Any worthwhile announcements are going to show up on sites like this soon after they are made.
@Chaudy If it's any consolation, I live on the US East coast and even watching it at a reasonable time of day is a waste of time.
