Halo Infinite Campaign Release Times On Xbox Game Pass

Are these times we can start playing? what about pre-loading?

Perfect right around lunch time, can't wait to check out the campaign!

These times are essentially the 'same' time across the Globe. Whilst it maybe 6pm in the UK, at the very moment, its 1pm in NY, 7pm in Berlin etc.

That means everyone, where ever they are, gets access at the same point in time. If they released it at 'midnight' on the 8th for example in every region, New Zealand could have the game nearly a Day earlier than West Coast USA - New York would get it 3hrs early than Seattle...

I don't know if they can (or expect them to be able to) stop anyone from playing who buys the game on Disc before those times. If the game comes out on Disc on the '8th' in NZ, they won't be waiting until 7am the next day to play it...

For the MP, I guess it makes sense to kick off the 'official' release globally at the same time...

I much prefer the generic midnight release. Not a fan of these new time zone releases we are getting lately with games but it is what it is. Can’t wait to finish the fight…again.

I miss midnight east coast dopes. Waiting until noon on the day is ridiculous…

Ugh such a late launch, guess I'll be playing it on thursday. But no matter, one last ride for family. Yet again.

Busy week this week. Got a major project launching Thursday but I’ll be able to make time for this sometime hopefully.

Really excited that the MP is getting a few updates too. I hit lvl52 and ranked Plat 4 last night.

@BAMozzy Many people have discs already and they can't play. Physical copies are also restricted until the 8th.

Do you get anything extra for preorder?

@BAMozzy Kind of think this could be very, very bad decision as it is just asking for servers to overload and crash with kazillion people signing in all at once to play, and "infinitely" aggravating gamers.

So annoying not being able to play at midnight. Won't be able to play until the 9th because of this.

There is the added issues that this results in the release not being staggered which will, without a doubt, overload Microsoft's servers.

@OskarRex Didn't know that - seems odd for a Single Player offline experience as the co-op portion isn't there yet. Maybe its a way to stop spoilers leaking ahead of launch or people from Australia spoiling it before it launches in America. What about those not 'online', how does that work? EDIT: Just seen the 'new' article about the disc version and why - but that was NOT known at the time I replied to this article!!

@GuyinPA75 As far as I know, EVERYONE already can play the Multi-player now so its not going to impact the servers 'too' much, may even see a 'drop' in servers as a LOT of players jump into the Single Player mode. MS must have their own 'servers' and a reasonable idea of their userbase numbers to have sufficient servers to not only 'host' games but to also stream games to devices too...

Is the campaign going to automatically download at release time If you have the multiplayer installed? Or is there going to be a separate file to manually install?
