Hi, total newbie to gaming at the age of 61 who as just purchased the series x .
I mainly bought it for my Grandchildren and possibly a little for me if i am being honest, however i am going to be sticking to the classic games etc that is until i master the hand eye control ,what i am looking for is a mid range steering wheel that i can use on the Forza game i got with the package,i just cant get to grips with the controller joystick and thought a steering wheel may help at touch as i am enjoying the game but feel held back with the thumb controller.Any pointers to a steering wheel i could use would be gratefully appreciated .Thanks
A steering wheel definitely helps in Driving games, we've got a Logitech G920 which is probably a bit on the expensive side - only bought it because it happened to be almost half-price in Costco at the time! Thrustmaster and Hori wheels tend to be a little cheaper but can't really comment on quality as I've never used them. I have had a couple of regular Hori Controllers over the years and they're usually pretty good though.
I regularly see wheels up for sale locally - my video game alert on Gumtree seems to throw up a wheel every few weeks - so might be worth checking the likes of Gumtree/Facebook Marketplace and picking up a used one and you could always sell it on again if you decide it's not for you.
