Topic: purchasing but hiding a game for series x/s

hi,i want to but fc25 for my child for series x/s,its on offer at the mo,but i dont want him to see we have bought it.
i cant recall,but if i purchase it from microsoft site,does it pop up on the screen when he will switch xbox on?
is there a way to hide it that he dosent see until christmas day?

@funkman you could purchase it, but don't install it. It may start to install straight away, but you can cancel that. That way is won’t show up in your games installed list or as a recently played game on your main dashboard. Unless your child checks the list of games that you own but are not installed, as they would be able to find it in there. I think it probably depends as to how independently your child is able to access the console to know if that method might work, really. Someone else might have a better idea though!

It would be cool if you told your kid look for it on the Xbox store that day because the store will say "You own this game" and you fake surprise. 😁 @funkman @BowsersBuddy
