Topic: Pre-order rush?

I'm hearing more and more that you should be pre-ordering the consoles (both X & S) in order to get one this holiday season. Now I'm wondering is this just to get one at launch or do you guys think there will be a shortage into Q1? I was under the impression that Xbox had built up a decent stock and i should be able to pick one up without issue. I'm looking at getting one on black Friday or cyber Monday but now I'm questioning if i should be trying to get one secured on the 22nd.

@Krzzystuff Well if you were going to get one on Black Friday or Cyber Monday I honestly don't see why you just don't get it on launch day since it's only a few weeks difference. It's not like it will drop price by Black Friday.

@Tasuki hmm you're right. I was waiting for boxing day originally but i really don't like playing on PC so I thought I'd get some extra GPU time in the box on cyber Monday but I'm likely just gonna try and pre-order now. I just want to play on a console and I want access to all the console games on GPU. Ryse son of Rome is gona be my first download.

@Krzzystuff Yeah I remember back to the PS4 and Xbox One launches they were just a few weeks before Black Friday/Cyber Monday and alot of people waited to see what deals they could get on them but the only deals Sony and MS were doing were on PS3 and Xbox 360 bundles, and then those people couldn't find a One or PS4.

Maybe next year they might have some BF/CM deals but you said you didn't want to wait that long.

Pre-order if you want one this year. But it may not be as bad as some think it will be.

Yea def need to pre-order. No way will the price drop this year when they're just being released. I'd be surprised if they dropped in price before this time next year.

I'm in the middle of moving to a different house, so I'll have to wait regardless of how much I'd like to jump the gun. That said, my wife informed me we need one so that she can enjoy Hogwarts Legacy to its fullest when that releases so there's that at least

I'm definitely pre-ordering if I can. I'll bet these consoles will be tough to find otherwise well into next year.

There will almost undoubtedly be a very limited supply of XSX/XSS/PS5/PS5AD hardware into the channel up to Q1 and potentially even further.

If you want a console, you should preorder it. I'd be surprised if there was any stock floating about on Black Friday, unless you're VERY lucky. I'd also be surprised if Black Friday/Cyber Monday would present any massive deals on hardware that's less than a month old even if there were tons available.

How many of you guys could successfully finance the preorder with All Access today?

In canada on Thursdays shopper drug marts give 20% off seniors. I'll bring gramps for a ride on the 12th and hope to win the lottery.

In line right now hoping to grab a preorder for the Series X. About 15 people ahead of me but a couple looks like it's a family, so fingers crossed.

What's anyone's thoughts on black Friday xbox one s deals?

So no dice at my local GameStop, they only had 8 Series X and 2 Series S. Hopefully I can get one next shipment

That's too bad. It is strange that those stores have so few consoles.
