@NintendoByNature You don’t necessarily need to focus on a particular build but it may improve your enjoyment of the experience overall. For example I’m a big stealth fan so for the longest time invested lots of time and perks into being an ultimate assassin, which can be really cool especially once your vats skills are up, clearing rooms like a shadow haha. Recently I started a partial playthrough where I focused on a melee build and it completely changed my perspective of the game as every encounter was up close and bloody and I had to rethink all my ingrain strategies.
@BowsersBuddy Mate, I think everyone’s first encounter with that deathclaw is skin of your teeth. It’s part of the fun. The Power Armour is located on the roof of the quest building, I think it’s called the revolutionary museum or something. Don’t worry about getting stuck, there isn’t really a wrong way to go about it, but the various faction quest lines I found to be worth pursuing. But really just get out there and have fun 👍

@BowsersBuddy this is good information and I'll have to give it a try. I found the armor myself and I'm trying to remember how to get it. Somewhere in that building where you get the mission for it. But then once they tell you to find the mini gun for it, I couldn't figure out where it was until I went back without the armor and didn't have the strength to actually carry it lol.
@Bundersvessel ok gotcha. I'm more of a balanced type player in most games where I worry putting too much stock into one category. I'll probably do the same here, or maybe not haha. Who knows, I'm sure I'll be back with more questions soon.
@Bundersvessel , @NintendoByNature awesome, thanks! I did find the armour did it need some kind of battery or something?! Either way it wouldn’t let me use it at the time! I decided to try and beat the death claw, but hopefully I can go back and get the armour!
I’m Enjoying it so far, not sure why I never tried it back in the day really.
@BowsersBuddy Power armour requires a fusion core, one of which you will find in the basement of the same building. The floor is collapsed so easy to get to. It is inside a cage which you can either pick the lock or hack the terminal 👍

@Bundersvessel thanks, I hacked the terminal and got the suit (and the mini gun) this evening! Didn’t realise i was carrying so much junk, so Very slowly tried to walk back to where i started, got lost, ended up on my way to the next quest luckily. Realised my armour was running out of juice and had to abandon it 😂. Onwards and upwards!
Darn near 10 hrs in now. For the most part I have the ins and outs nailed down. Some things are still a little confusing. I can never tell if I'm under leveled for areas. Other than seeing a skull on some guys, I'm just not sure. At times there's just way too many enemies in one place, and my guns( even beefed up a little), never seem to have enough ammo for my effective guns. And I'm always scouring the map and collecting everything worthwhile. This reminds me of my only real issue with starfield. I never had ammo for the guns I loved to use. I've been playing on easy for the most part since I'm new to this series. I'm not going to lie, I've even had to turn it down to very easy when there's just way too enemies on the screen to take on at one time. Then I turn it back to easy if I clear a camp or area.
I will soon be doing a replay, it's been about 3-4 years since my last play, PS4 Pro.
Some tips: travel to Drumlin Diner, Diamond City, and Goodneighbor for some caps to earn, weapons, and shops to fast travel to.
Outside Diamond city a traveling merchant, Cricket, can be found. purchase the Spray and Pay from her, about 1,000 caps. It is a submachine gun that fires common .45 ammo with an explosive damage bonus. That weapon will help you dispatch most enemies, but just beware that you don't damage yourself, companions, or friendly npc's.
Goodnieghbor, near Diamond City, provides a good place to farm caps. Three building can be repeatedly cleared of thugs. Doing so provides lots of weapons, ammo, and other items to sell or keep. Having the Spray and Pay makes it easy caps.
For more easy caps I suggest starting with water purifiers installed at Sanctuary. Do some research to learn the tricks of that trade if you're new to it.
@NoCode23 very good information. I'll definitely hunt down that merchant so I can get that gun. I typically love using shot guns in games, but I don't like the feel of them in this game. I've found anything that has a high fire rate is the best option, so that'll be right up my alley.
Finally got to diamond city, spent over an hour there exploring and shopping. Bought some nice weapons too. Joined minutemen even though I'm also with the brotherhood. Didn't think that would be possible honestly lol. Also, I decided to play the game on very easy for the time being. I was dying ALOT on easy.
