hi there,i am on xbox series s and yesterday when i went to play fortnite and start i get "an unexpected error occurred while signing in to your account for xbox live.please try again later"
it is still doing it today.
i tried holding power button for 10 secs, and disconnecting power cable for 10 sec, made no difference.
i have read about resetting console and keeping games, but i thought id see if anyone had any other options as i dont like resetting.its like giving up,and the console only 6 months old.
if i did the reset and keep games option does my saves stay intact when i go back on?
i.e. fifa, fortnite will my progreess be lost?
also,i am logged on to the xbox,so its not like it wont log on. just seems to be fortnite the issue is with
@funkman Xbox saves are on cloud so you should not lose anything (I even moved from PC to series and I had those already when first started the system).
Does fifa multiplayer work fine atm? If not it can be something with your internet connection. Also they have maintenance sometimes.
@funkman I believe you have to pay Xbox live to play fortnite as well I am afraid. Nintendo and Sony allow you to play free to play without it but not Microsoft...
Edit: it looks like that has change last year. In that case I would try Halo infinite that is also free to play.
hi,xbox live is free, its xbox live gold that is a paid service.
i got fortnite working. had to reset xbox(keeping ganes and apps)
works now
i tried all solutions that are suggested online but none worked apart from reset
