Topic: Disable Ads by becoming a Pure Xbox Supporter

Hey everyone,

For some years now, we've been asked by users if they can pay a subscription to disable adverts on Pure Xbox without having to use their adblocker.

We've finally put together our subscription offering, which essentially allows you to disable adverts (although you can leave them on if you like) and show your support with a little badge next to your username.

We're announcing it here in the forum first, as I wanted to get some initial feedback before we promote it further. We've priced our subscription at $3.99/month (or $39.99 annually, saving 17%), and one subscription applies to ALL our websites too. We wanted the monthly price to be around that of a coffee, as we felt that is a fair price for what we offer.

I am fine with the adds and most likely won't be subscribing. However I am not against it as long as it does not block any other features behind it.

@Balta666 that's fair — and yeah, we're not looking to lock content behind it. As long as people are viewing ads OR subscribing, then it's all good by us.

What about running a poll with different price ranges to check what readers think that it's fair and/or affordable and an option to donate via PayPal instead of a monthly fee, considering that you are not planning to block content?

@Banjo- I don't think the underlying membership system we're using will support PayPal to be honest, they take a really be transaction fee so using Stripe is better from a cost point of view, it's also an extremely big/popular/secure payment system.
