I've pre downloaded the Gunk, can't wait to play it
@Chaudy
Same, but I'm also willing to try Aliens, despite the average reviews that it got. I'm just a sucker for anything Aliens related 😁
Playing Halo multiplayer on teams with randos has got me interested in Aliens Fireteam. Anybody know if the player base is, uh, friendly to newcomers? There's nothing worse than being put on a team with a loudmouth jerk.
Being purely a gamepass user I'm only looking forward to the gunk and aliens fireteam, nice offerings going into the end of the year, fingers crossed to finish the year with another good surprise addition
I likely won't be able to start it right away as I'm still in the middle of a couple of other games, but I'm still likely going to pre-load it over the weekend and then be ready to start it whenever. Really hoping it turns out to be as good as it looks like it could be.
Sheesh, I can't keep up.
My current in-progress games right now are:
Tales of Arise
Halo Infinite
Dark Pictures Anthology: The House of Ashes
Forza Horizon 5
Now The Gunk is right around the corner, as is Christmas! Plus, I want to go back and revisit Plague Tale.
First-world problems.
@GamingFan4Lyf I'd start with finishing up the house of ashes as it's a short game
You liking takes of Arise so far? My personal game of the year, you will need to set around 60-70 hours aside for that one
I'm at the point where i wish they would hold off on dropping stuff in gamepass cuz i can't play it all lol.
Finally! I’ve been wanting to play Record of Lodoss War - Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth for some time now. It looks like a good time.
@UltimateOtaku91 I was thinking the same thing with House of Ashes - all the games in the Anthology have been relatively short (but I enjoy them).
Tales of Arise is pretty good. I am about...30-ish hours in, maybe? I do all the side quests my character level will allow in an area before I move on - especially since it seems to be the best way to get Money and SP.
I suck at boss battles, though. I end up using all my Life Bottles and Orange Gels during the fights and have to restock (and those Orange Gels are pricey).
The only other Tales game I have played and finished was Tales of Symphonia on the Gamecube. I played a fan-translated version of Tales of Phantasia via emulation, but only for a few hours. I heard great things about Arise, so I decided to give it a whirl.
@GamingFan4Lyf well I struggled with bosses as well and I will shamefully admit that after the first two bosses every other boss I put on easy 😂
I've played all the other tales of games and Arise is probably my favourite, mainly because of the new combat style and graphics are amazing in 4K
@UltimateOtaku91
Nothing wrong with dropping difficulty down if you just want to experience the story.
Yeah the game is very pretty!
Thanks to Digital Foundry, I found out that the Series X actually sticks pretty close to 60fps in the Quality Graphics settings under most circumstances - with only a few instances were having a VRR display keeps things clean as the framerate can dip into the 40's at the lowest.
I have a VRR display (though sadly not a 120Hz display), and the game just feels awesome.
I had it set to Performance setting before that for a while, but I have kept it on Quality setting ever since I saw that analysis.
I watched a Xbox ID stream or something today any the game Shredders was featured, the director even said that he was ready to put the game out in December. I remember the game was due out in Dec. but I also remember the game was delayed till like Feb. or March... anyone know the latest?
Really excited about the Gunk..
@Stoned_Patrol It got pushed to February.

Yeah that is what I thought, thanks @Halucigens
That is really weird that on the latest Xbox stream, ID@Xbox I believe it was... And they had the lead game developer end the Shredders trailer by saying see you in Decemeber. They even had the dev guy talking doing an interview with the hosts so it should have been the most recent news, must have been an accident or something
Really looking forward to trying out The Gunk. I have the Fatesworn edition of Kingdoms of Amalur, so will be giving that a go too at some point. And I bought Aliens a couple of weeks back, so of course that is now coming to the GamesPass. At least my mates can now play it too (tight buggers!)...
Already have The Gunk pre-loaded. I won't get to play it right away, but I'm still really looking forward to it and hope it turns out to be good.
I have also pre downloaded the gunk altough I am a bit worried that we did not see much in terms of gameplay yet. Let's see how the transition to a bigger budget 3d world goes
