Another Black Friday is almost over (don't worry, Cyber Monday is still to come), but even though the sales might be slowing down, Xbox is continuing to host its massive digital game sale until Friday, December 3rd.
Over 600 games have been made available as part of the sale, and Microsoft added to this with another 70+ Deals with Gold and Spotlight offers earlier this week, so we're spoilt for choice with what to spend our money on.

I haven't bought anything yet, there's 2 games I'm thinking about. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Far Cry 6. Due to lack of time I haven't bought them. Any free time I get I'm still putting into GTA and Halo Infinite.
I used $125 worth of points to buy a lucid sound headset that was on sale....and it's glorious. Hearing things i never heard in games before lol.
Mind you o was using a $30 headset before and it was definitely good enough, but since I'm gaming a lot more and really enjoying it i figured i would step my game up. The rewards points and the sale made it a very easy decision.
Now just waiting for some freaking GPU cards to go on sale in Canada!!
FIFA 22 for £35 from Tesco
I bought dragons dogma, been meaning to give it a go for a while and finally for £5 I will. Also bought Pikmin 3 for switch but I’m probably not going to be playing these games for a bit, too busy with Forza, halo and surprisingly mortal shell on game pass.
Across all platforms I purchased Far Cry 6, Sackboy, Aggelos, Jackbox 8, Olija, Speaking Simulator, The Missing, Hoa, Forgotton Anne, and Inked. And then I cursed at myself for creating a backlog when I’ve been working game to game all year. I’d cleared 90% of my backlog in 2020. What a fool I am. I could’ve just kept to Skyrim Anniversary and Halo mp (and I suppose 2042) til the Infinite campaign! I pretty much just bought everything I’ve been on the fence about for a while… and after starting them all for a little bit to see what would stick for me, I don’t know why I went crazy like that. Truthfully, though, Olija is a standout among that bunch. That one did stick. For sure playing it.
Nascar Heat 4 for £5.02 on Xbox. I might be English but I seriously enjoy Nascar so that's a great bargin for me.. I've also just managed to obtain a PS3 Super Slim for just £20, so have picked up a few of the must have games from Ebay (Motorstorm ,Wipeout Fury, Sly Cooper Collection, Uncharted 1,2 &3, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, Killzone 2 & 3 and The Last of Us) Although that's nothing to do with Black Friday..
I bought NBA2K22, can't wait to finish downloading and start balling
Unfortunately nothing on Xbox. However, I did buy Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein on Steam for $3 total. I also bought Half-Life: Alyx. I spent all my Microsoft money on a customized controller a couple weeks ago.
I got Far Cry 6 gold, Guardians of the Galaxy, Tales of Arise and Lost Judgement. Might get a few more things but not sure yet.
Just bought Guardians of the galaxy..red dead redemption, GTA 4 and Splinter cell blacklist with my reward points....played the last 3 obviously but they needed to be added to the collection for good
I've bought so far AC Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, Guardians Of The Galaxy, Judgement, Lost Judgement and Sonic Colors..
Went a little wild with physical sales at best buy and gamestop.
Xbox
Resident evil 3
Resident evil village
Mass effect trilogy
Tony hawk 1 & 2
Sonic colors
Marvel avengers
Switch
Assassins creed 3
South park fractured but whole
Collection of mana
Ps4
Kingdom heart all in one
Marvel iron man VR
Symphony of the night, dragon's dogma and the Witcher 3 full edition (all Xbox)
Just one game this year, Guardians of the Galaxy. I usually purchase one or two more, but I bought some more months of GamePass instead.
Nothing. I accumulated a backlog last year of everything that I would want to play, and don't see anything more that I have any interest in.
So far? Nothing. I've not seen anything that really screamed "Black Friday Deal" on any game I won't be able to get cheaper when I have time to play.
Guardians of the Galaxy - had no plans of getting it but it’s a good price.
@Somebody
Holy crap you’ve got some backlog to get through now! Lol
I wouldn’t know where to start with that lot 😂
Picked up Assassins Creed Valhalla Season pass, The Outer World's DLC, Metro Exodus Gold Edition, Tomb Raider Trilogy and Forza Horizon 4 was on sale and considering I own 1-3 I just had to complete the collection.
The Witcher 2 on Xbox for 3$ and cruis’n blast on switch for 25$.
Witcher 2, Witcher 3 GOTY edition and assassins creed origins gold edition as i hear its one of the best with some great DLC. Really wanted MGS collection before it left the sale but as its been removed from purchase it doesnt look like its gonna happen. Got to watch what i buy on the xbox really and the S's HDD fills up rather quick. My "im just sticking to gamepass" is slowly becoming an after thought.
I got Tales of Arise on Series X and got Deathloop on PS5.
Those will be added to the growing back log of games I have...LOL
Nothing for me so far. I'm hoping for a Unicorn to drop some Series X and PS5 stock in the UK so holding onto my money for now.
@BANJO Nice stack of PS3 stuff there. Are they all new games to you or are you revisiting?
I bought the old Doom games. I already had Doom 64 and 3 so I and II were "Game Pass" in my library and it was kind of weird but at the same time I know it's just me LOL. I haven't decided what other games to get, I like buying them even when they're on Game Pass if they are third party games because they leave eventually but I have already bought most of the stuff I wanted (like Metro Exodus Gold) or I'm still waiting for a bigger discount and that's related to what @InterceptorAlpha said, like Sonic Colours (Xbox) that I really want but I also have on Wii.
I added a Halo Infinite Series X to my cart for 549.99. Unfortunately, always an error when attempting to checkout. Not a big deal, but would have been decent to get one for the household.
Oddly, can remove from cart and add again easily enough. Anyone else have this problem? Even had the same issue purchasing Dead by Daylight content.
Witcher 2 and (shame on me) Halo 5...only because my nephew wants to do a full run of all the Halo games before we can jump into the Infinite campaign on co-op...just felt it would be mean to deprive a 9 year old lol
I've been playing Halo Infinite to death but I bought a whole bunch of OG Xbox/360 games that just showed up on back compat, and I don't think a single one was on sale for Black Friday.
Whatever. At least now I've got all the Max Paynes. Together at last.
@Shigurui All new to me. The last Sony console I had was a PS2 so I'm really playing catch up with the PS3 games. I'm looking to try and play the recommended exclusives to see what I think of them. That lot will take a while to get through...
Nothing that I don't already own, but there are indeed alot of amazing deals for Xbox... Had some store cash to use in the PS Store, so I bought TLOU Remastered, and Detroit: Become Human to add to my permanent collection. Then used the rest to buy 12 months of PS+
@BANJO You picked up some real good stuff there. The Motorstorm games are great fun, as are the Sly games but Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us are absolute classics. I'd recommend The Puppeteer, God of War 3 and 3D dot Game Heroes as must play PS3 exclusive titles down the line.
@Shigurui Thanks for the recommendations, I plan to get God of War 3 but I will certainly look into the other titles. The Puppeteer looks good from doing a quick search...
I bought a physical copy of Assassin's Creed Origins Deluxe for 8 euro's directly from Ubisoft... that's it.
