Welcome to the weekend! We've got plenty of choice over the next couple of days with a new Game Pass title in Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master, three more Free Play Days offers, and the highlight of the week in the form of a massive Xbox Lunar New Year sale, which features discounts for well over 500 games. Hold on to your wallet!
Here's what we're checking out this weekend:

It's got to be Hitman Trilogy this weekend. I've been so busy this past week that I still haven't had a chance to check it out on Xbox Game Pass, and I'm so excited to finally get stuck into it. Did you see that the VR mode also works on PC Game Pass? It's apparently pretty terrible right now, but I need to give it a try with my Quest 2 all the same.
My other answer is a boring one, but it's the truth — I'm just about to finish my second 82-game season in NHL 20, and unlike the first one in which I didn't even make the playoffs, I'm set to win the Pacific Division as the Canucks and go into the playoffs with a real chance of winning the cup. I know the game's old at this point, and I've got NHL 22 sitting in my library, but I can't give up on this Franchise Mode just yet. It's just too much fun.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Well, like everyone else - I'm assuming - I immediately grabbed the Hitman Trilogy as soon as it was available on Game Pass this week and am intending to get stuck in where I can find a bit of spare time. However, I've also found myself back playing Yakuza: Like A Dragon recently so that's gonna have to get squeezed in somewhere too as I'm absolutely adamant, after restarting from scratch, that I'm gonna see it through to the end this time. Shouldn't be too hard, as it's absolutely brilliant really.
Elsewhere, well, I'm pretty busy with review stuff, and I'll probably spend a little bit of time checking out that other game on that other platform, you know, the one with the little creatures that you need to collect and do battle with. Yeah, that one.
Enjoy you're weekend, whatever you're up or playing out there!

This weekend, I'm gonna dive back into Battlefield 1, purely because I've got a new headset I want to try out. The audio in DICE's WW1 shooter is phenomenal, so I can't think of a better way to put it through its paces.
Elsewhere, I'll be trying to finish up my Claire playthrough of Resident Evil 2. I've just got to get through that pesky chess piece puzzle...
Have a good weekend, everyone!

Ecco the dolphin on x360
Borderlands 3 on ps4
Metroid Dread on switch
Super Mario Galaxy on wii
Will be playing Diablo 3 on PS4, Invizimals: The Lost Kingdom on PS3 and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time on Wii U.
I kinda wanted to try the Diablo series after all this talk about Activision Blizzard the past week. Been playing Diablo 3 for an hour now and it's so much fun and really addicting. Looking forward to playing more of it!
A Plagues Tale for me hopefully. If I'm playing on xcloud it will be AI: Somnium Files.
I'm playing Doom (2016) and Nobody Saves the World.
NSTW has turned out to be better than I thought so really enjoying that. I'm half way through Doom. Haven't had much time this month to play.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on Nintendo Switch Online
Uncharted 4, Guardians of the Galaxy, Chorvs, and Tomb Raider on PS5
Forza Horizon 5, Doom Eternal, Golf With Friends and Unpacking on Xbox Series X
I am absolutely spoiled for choice and loving this generation. Game on one and all and happy weekend!
I have been playing Lost odyssey ( still early on at disk 1). So far I am not hugely impressed as the voice acting is the worst I remember which is strange for a game of 360 era and the combat is just ok so far. However I am hoping itvwill get much better as the squad Numbers increase
Legacy of thieves collection on PS5 - playing through Uncharted 4 again first. On XSX I’m playing Dysmantle, and trying to finish up AC Valhalla Siege of Paris DLC, before Dying Light 2 drops next week.
@nofriendo what’s Chorvs like? It’s on sale atm for Xbox.
Not much. Might play Halo Infinite with my step son. Might play Hitman Trilogy.
Halo Infinite has been my go-to game since it came out, don't play the multiplayer but love the campaign, first Halo campaign I've really been into since Reach. Other than that, I've been on a 360 kick lately. Dead or Alive 4 is one of my favorite fighting games of all-time, I've been playing that a lot since it was added to the backwards compatibility list, and I went nuts in the bc sale, so I'll probably start one of those games... Thinking either Split/Second or Killer is Dead.
@Balta666 please stick with Lost Odyssey, it is my favourite JRPG. I don't remember the voice acting being that bad, although I couldn't play FFX because of the same reason.
For me I'm on NSTW although I'm currently stuck on a dungeon and my frustration is building. Also got FH5 to hopefully grab the last cheevo and Warzone with the lads.
On switch its of course Pokémon Legends, I've played around 4 hours so far and it's been a blast, if they can continue with this formula and improve the visuals then the next pokemon games are going to something special.
On playstation 5 I will continue with NEO the world ends with you and some Baldo
On series S I will continue with nier automata if I get time
I picked up Arceus for my gf so I could play Ghost of Tsushima in peace. I'll also be getting my online fix through Halo Infinite as usual. It's gonna be a good weekend!
Restarted Nier Automata yesterday on Series X via Game Pass and just wowed all over again. Don't know why I put this down.
Yazuza 0 on PS5, after seeing the credits I'm currently trying to complete all substories and mini games. This is going to be a long plat.
And Eastward on Switch. Love the pixel art and the story so far is intriguing. Hopefully this will come to other consoles soon.
@SacredPYRO I will at least until I got really frustrated as the game is also fairly hard so far. You touched on a good point. I played FF X for the first time a couple of years ago and found the va to be quite good compared to the expectations I had and I find this one much much worse. Also not sure if it is a compatibility issue but some cutscenes mid battle lack sound (it happenned twice to me already)
Pokemon Legends Arceus.
Final Fantasy X on switch.
I got Deus Ex Mankind Divided, SW Squadrons and Everspace on the lunar new year xbox sale, so I'll be checking those out too.
Got them all for like $22. What a deal!
@FraserG Kudos to you good sir for taking Vancouver to the promised land!
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (3DS) - Finally coming back to start Episode 3.
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Finally nearing all my gold medals needed for the achievement.
Ridiculous Marathon (Windows Phone) - Fun little endless runner to kill time with.
Nobody Saves the World (Game Pass) and Final Fantasy II (PSP). Nobody is fantastic. It's interesting how they took a few, addictive niche mechanics in RPGs and made a game out of it, lol. Been pecking at FF all month. I'm at Leviathan. So, I think toward the end?
Splinter Cell: Conviction co-op. I've never played the series before this, but it's pretty good so far.
@Clankylad TLOU2 looked amazing, even on PS4. I thought overall though the game started to drag a bit and should have been shorter. I recently downloaded it again for my PS5 to test it out at 60fps, though not had time to do it yet.
@Nightcrawler71 I love space exploration/shooter games, so it was one of my most-anticipated. I prefer arcade-y versus hardcore simulation, so while I enjoy No Man's Sky I much prefer Starlink to Elite Dangerous. Chorvs features phenomenal gameplay and introduces brilliant drift and teleportation mechanics, which greatly reduce the amount of swinging your reticle around to line up with enemy ships that seems to be 98% of the gameplay in some space shooters. My two major issues with the game are narrative and voice acting. These are my issues with almost every game I play these days. If you can see past the half-assed, juvenile writing and uninspired acting, there's a very fun, very pretty game to be enjoyed. Hope that's helpful.
@nofriendo cheers 👍 may pick this up before it goes back up to full price.
I was making good progress on Mass Effect and then the Hitman Trilogy was added to Gamepass. Now I'm knee deep in corpses. I've enjoyed all the previous Hitman games but the most recent series has been exceptional. A complete nightmare for completionists though.
Xbox - Having fun with the hitman trilogy
Switch - Might be getting some shines in mario sunshine
Sea of Thieves for me. Sunday is the big community day with free stuff, and the possibility of a massive gold bonus. Hoping to do a big session with my friends.
I’m back to work today (Sunday) but I’d fully intended to begin Arceus. However I woke last night at 11 pm have fully fallen asleep watching my ww2 vids. So, no Pokémon until tonight, maybe.
Pokémon Legends Arceus solo.
Aliens Fireteam Elite with the boys. Almost done with it!
