Welcome to another April weekend! If you're looking for things to do on Xbox over the next couple of days, don't forget that we've received some new Game Pass additions recently including Ghostwire: Tokyo, we've got three more Free Play Days titles to try, Ubisoft Plus is now available to subscribe to, and the Xbox Spring Sale remains live!
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

Apologies for the repetitiveness of these posts, but I'm still hooked on WWE 2K23 right now! It's specifically the MyGM mode that's dominating my time, as I really love the additions they made to the mode this year - and the fact that it can theoretically go on forever means I could be playing it extensively all the way up to WWE 2K24!
Another game I'd like to try this weekend as part of Free Play Days is Them's Fightin' Herds. I didn't really know anything about it until it appeared in the FPD lineup this week, but it's basically a 2D fighting game with a really alluring cartoon art style. If the gameplay is as good as the visuals, I'm in for a great time with this one.
Have a good weekend, folks!

I'm still mopping up bits and pieces in the quite wonderful Ghostwire: Tokyo, which I gave a big juicy 8/10 to in our review this week. Despite a few performance issues, I recommend jumping into this one on Game Pass if you're looking for something refreshingly different from the norm.
Elsewhere, I've got NHL 23 downloading as I type, so I'm looking forward to trying that to see how things have improved from last year's effort. I'll also be spending some time with EA Sports PGA Tour, which seems incredibly in-depth so far, and finally I'm also blasting through Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order one last time before diving into Survivor when it drops later this month. Too many games!
Have a good weekend.

Ahoy PX Gang! Another weekend, another WAYP. The main game I’ll be sitting down with this weekend is a hush hush situation, so I’m not sure I'll get any gaming time outside of it. However, I can share an update on the 12 100% games resolution I set myself this year. I managed to ‘accidentally’ 100% Melon Journey: Bittersweet Memories which was humorous, adorable and a great play for any fan of Earthbound.
Moving past the bitter melons saw me dive head first into DREDGE, a sinister sea fishing indie game. I think I’d like to work towards another 100% game this weekend with Resident Evil 4 Remake in mind, however with Redfall on its way and Deathloop on Game Pass… I might be swayed on a trip to Blackreef with Colt Vahn. So we’ll see!
Happy gaming folks!

On PS5 i have started the Ghost of Tsushima DLC and will continue with Fairy Fencer F
On Switch I've got the last dungeon of Zelda Skyward Sword HD to do and I will continue with Harvestella, I've also bought Bayonetta Origins which is coming today so I'm looking forward to trying that.
On xbox I will be playing some more Atomic Heart and Ghostwire Tokyo using the backbone one.
Switch - Continuing Persona 5 Royal and starting Fire Emblem Engage this weekend!
3DS - Nothing on here this weekend.
PS5 - GTA Online with friends later tonight and Cyberpunk 2077 before then!
PC - Nothing on here this weekend.
Have a good weekend everyone!
After playing and surprisingly enjoying power wash simulator the weather is finally good enough for me to do it in real life in the back garden. When I do get on to play. I'll be mostly jumping between COD Cold War and MW2. Hated MW2 on the PS5, gameplay felt so slow. It feels completely different on the series X. Though might just be me.
Have a good weekend all!
On Ps5 Resident Evil Remake
On PC Remnant From The Ashes
On Series X Sherlock Holmes Chapter One
Mostly Vampire Survivors with the new DLC out. A bit of Halo Infinite just for the fun of it because I’ve completed the season 3 pass.
Trying to sneak a little Breath of the Wild in here & there too.
REmake 4, for sure. Just finished Chapter 8. I’ve had so little time to play, so I’m hoping I finally get a block of game time to sink into this title. I mean, I preordered it and I’m halfway through. That’s not enough.
On Switch, I’d like to start Belle Boomerang and Melon Journey as well. I had planned to finish REmake before they came out, but what can you do? Hope I can finish all three games before… Wednesday and those Pixel Remasters come out.
Just a whole bunch of Genshin Impact and Atelier Ryza 2.
Just Evil Dead The Game for me.
With Buddy 1: Stranded Deep
Buddy 2: Chivalry
Buddy 1 and 2: Wo Long
Solo: Ghostwire.
Continuing my journey with Marvel's Midnight Suns. It's taking over all my gaming time and im not complaining.
I did try ghostwire tokyo.. I finishes act 1 and im really pleased with what I played so far. Will definitely continue once I finish marvels midnight sun.
This weekend I’m not sure if I’ll play anything. I’ve been in a reading mood as of late. That said, I did manage to beat Signalis (Xbox Series X). It was fantastic, and one of the best survival horror games I’ve played in a long time, aside from RE4 Remake and Dead Space.
If I do play anything it will be Ryse: Son of Rome on the Xbox Series X. It’s been in my backlog for a long time, so this should tide me over until Star Wars: Jedi Survivor releases. From what I played, it’s pretty fun. I don’t expect much from it, but that’s okay for a short 6-8 hour experience.
As for what I’m reading comic(s) and graphic novel wise - TMNT: The Last Ronin has me hooked. I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds, and how it fares in the AAA gaming space. I’m also going to be reading Batman: Court of Owls.
In terms of Batman stories, I have only read Frank Miller’s Batman Year One and The Dark Knight Returns. It’s an incredibly well written story, with superb artwork. I’m probably going to dive more deeply into his work, particularly with Daredevil. That said, next up on my reading list will be his take on Ronin.
I’m still a beginner, and learning the in’s and out’s of comics, runs, series, omnibus, and what-have-you; but I am learning and have finally come to a somewhat comfortable understanding of how things work in this field. I’m looking forward to when I can have good conversations about my new hobby, and possibly passion.
Playing High on life, decent simple fun so far. I have given a try to Forza horizon 5 although cars isn't usually my thing, but we'll see.
Might give a start to coffee talk on the phone with xcloud too. Happy gaming all!
@UltimateOtaku91 what are your thoughts on Harvestella? Kinda interested about it but also not sure how good it actually is
I'm on Chapter 2 of Ghostwire and enjoying it, so I hope that this takes up most of the gaming time this weekend and the repetition some of you have discussed doesn't put me off of it. Also MLB The Show 23 has become a daily play since it launched.
Snot Rocket Randy and The Curse of the 3 Headed Dildo, both games on PC. I find the weirdest games at the thrift store.
I'm carrying on in Outriders. I had it sitting idle for like a year, booted it up for a weekly quest and just really enjoyed it. Might try n get a few last level ups for the kids in Fall Guy's before the new season hits as well.... some orange shark suit is within grasp and they need some help getting it.
Finishing off Sifu (dropped down to easy mode to get through it.)
Going for S+ Pro run on Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Starting Ghostwire: Tokyo.
Maybe buying Dredge.
On switch, just New Super Luigi U, and on xbox DMC4SE + Ghostwire Tokyo
Have the performance issues with Ghostwire Tokyo even been acknowledged? Pile of steaming poo. Think I will delete it today - would be pissed if I had actually purchased it.
Series: Halo Infinite and Ghostwire Tokyo, loving it so far!
Switch: Fire Emblem Engage DLC.
PS5: Just platted Hogwarts Legacy. Waiting on Burning Shores!!!
Ghostwire Tokyo here. Absolutely great fun, combat is refreshingly different (if slightly samey) but the whole design and feel of the game is very unique. Enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would.
@Stamnoso I've only played around 8 hours so far but it's been good, I don't know if you've ever played any rune factory games buts it's very similar to those, but less of a focus on social interaction and has more jrpg elements. Farming in this game is also quicker especially as you don't need to keep refilling up on water so the farming aspect goes quite quick but you can focus on it to bring in a lot of money to buy new equipment and upgrade your armor, you can also use teh crops you've farmed to cook dishes that restore your life and stamina, or you can buy food from various shops from each of the towns.
Combat wise there's multiple jobs you can get such as fighter, mage, healer etc and you can switch between 3 of them that you set, you also have two party members to follow you into battle. Also the maps are quite basic and linear so far so theres not a lot of exploring to do which I quite like as there's to many massive open world games atm.
Graphics are what you would expect from a switch game, similar or slightly better than xenoblade chronicles 3, and the performance so far has been good, no frame rate issues.
Ghostwire Tokyo here too. Excellent atmosphere, great sound and a very cool setting and combat system. (9/10). 👍
Last few weeks my time has been too limited to sit down in front of the TV and play much, was trying to get through Ghost of Tsushima, and plan to keep trying if I find enough TV time, but last night I decided to start playing some Fallout 3 via Game Pass streaming on my New Logitech G Cloud.
@Hexamex-Tex there is an article somewhere in this page posted the last few days pointing at changes that some users find greatest improve their experience with the game.

You might want to give that a try. I personally have not played the game yet so can’t vouch it this helps or not but people in the comments seem to claim it helps.
Picked up Prey Mooncrash in the sale which I've been wanting to try for ages, so I'll be diving into that
I'm playing Generic Open Word Game N° 37 a.k.a Spiderman on my PS4 since it's leaving PS+. It's okay.
Then I'll come back to my Series S to play Shenmue 1&2 and then back to PS+ to play Shenmue 3 since it's also leaving. Let's see if I can.
Yakuza it's on hold because of that but I already finished 4.
Not been in a gaming mood lately
But will give ghost wire Tokyo a go
On chapter 6 on resident evil 4 remake it’s alright more of an action game than horror not a massive fan
Still playing Hogwarts Legacy but will check out Ghostwire Tokyo soon.
Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Vita) - Chase and I are on our own now...
Hitman GO (Windows Phone) - Finally on the last three levels I need to complete.
Gran Turismo 7 atm
I'm playing Eiyuden Chronicles on Game Pass, It's a pretty good chill relaxing game..
I was going to dive into Ghostwire Tokyo this weekend after a crazy week at work, but I'm quite sure I will not be able to finish it before the Horizon FW: Burning Shores DLC comes out on Wednesday, so I'm going to skip Ghostwire for now and play something shorter in the meantime. I'm planning on finishing up Resident Evil Survivor which is kinda terrible, but I still want to see it through, and then also I want to start up Forgive Me Father which I recently picked up in the Humble Bundle for boomer shooters. It looks amazing and on the short side, which is exactly what I'm looking for right now. Also, I haven't played with the guys in a while, but we're planning on getting back into Sea of Thieves tonight after quite a hiatus.
Mostly Gears of War 3 (only missing the final act now to finish the 360 trilogy this month) and ghost wire Tokyo (have finished chapter 2 yesterday and really enjoying this one). Kingdom hearts 2 and octopath Traveler II are currently on hold ...
Ori and the blind forest definitive edition
It's a very good game to start metroidvania games with, because of its complete map, but it doesn't show if you used a map stone(or a ability tree) or not.
Controls and animations are very very good and precise.
I don't know why, but sometimes I can't see some enemies|-:
I also downloaded ghostwire Tokyo
Circle of the Moon
Xbox: Persona 4: Golden
@Alphacoolpatriot which one you like more? Re4 is my 5th favorite game of all time and I am hesitant to play the remake.
Ghostwire: Tokyo, now I've managed to fix the floaty controls, and continuing my quest to 100% Sniper Elite 5 on authentic mode. (Eggbox Series X)
Just finished Dredge. I can highly recommend it.
Bizzarley, I took a look at the new EA PGA Tour title last night, and ended up playing all night. I actually think the graphics are pretty poor, cardboard cut out tress which are static no particles moving in the wind, water looking static, zero wildlife, very poor lighting. Given the tiny bit of land that needs rendering each hole, this is rally minimum effort stuff and very far away from ,state of the art.
However, it looks good enough, and the gameplay sucked me in and kept me there!
@Link41x Gotta say, my friend: your effort to beat games on the Vita is one that I can relate to, but Windows phone is really both parts cool and a mad quest!
Nothing modern? Aren't you into newer stuff, or just a vintage gamer?
That said, I've played Soul Sacrifice Delta on the Vita some time ago and it still holds up pretty well!
Happy gaming, mate!
@Clankylad I do have Born Again on my list. I was going to order it off Amazon but it’ll take weeks to get here. I’m going out of town (and to a bigger city) next weekend, so I’ll see if I can find a copy at a comic book store or something.
@OldgamerDave I mostly game on handhelds and PC. My most modern home console is a PS2
In regards to Windows Phone: Ever since the devices and services were sunset, I've been trying to beat all the games I own and delete them when I finish them.
I just completed Phantasy Star III via Sega Genesis Collection. Still need to beat Phantasy Star II. I'm almost end game. I'm also replaying (as I've played it years ago) Tales of Symphonia remastered.
@UltimateOtaku91 sorry been off for a while, thanks for the opinion sounds good, the reference to RF is a good one. I think I'll give it a try soon! Thabks
