Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
It's been a long time since I played a platform game on the Xbox - it doesn't disappoint.
Nothing else on my list was in the sale.
I bought Forza horizon 4 ultimate since it's my favourite of the series and wanted to keep playing it after it gets delisted.
Picked up Horizon 4 ultimate because I just discovered the series and am having a blast with it. Even picked up Horizon 3 on disc this weekend and 5 Ultimate via a heavily discounted game card so I could have ALL DA RACING.
That said, also picked up Dragon Age 1&2 so I could enjoy them via BC since my PS3 copies (and my PS3) are currently in boxes. Might get Sleeping Dogs and the Prototype Biohazard bundle as well.
There's some nice stuff on there, will probably cash in some reward points.
That being said it is telling that I did buy 2 games in the Quest summer sale whilst I'm dawdling over the Xbox One.
Just picked up Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition! I already own a disc copy, but I missed out on getting any of the DLC, so this was my way of catching up on all of the DLC, especially since it is so cheap at the moment.
FFX/X-2, FFXII, and Dragon Quest XI S for less than $70 total was a steal for me. I already had 7, 8, 9, and 15. Now I just need the Pixel Remaster to release and I'll be happy. The XIII series would've been nice too, but they were only on sale for PC.
Street Fighter VI is all I picked up. Wasn't really thinking of grabbing anything else. Too many games I'm already not playing and I also just picked up Darkest Dungeon 2 on Switch and that's eating up all my time lately.
Pointless buying anything on the xbox to be honest might as well wait for things to come to gamepass
It's the same stuff for the same sale prices. I have 20+ games on my wish list, most of which never go on sale. The few that do get 10-15% off or are so overpriced that 50% still isn't a bargain. Looking at you, GTA Trilogy. I don't know how they select their sale items, but I sure wish there was more variety.
Nothing still playing Elden ring and have a couple backlog games I want to complete before buying more but it could change!
I bought both Ai: Somnium Files games along with Tekken 8. Might pick up It Takes Two as well. Dragon Quest XI too, but might wait since I'm playing through all the mainline (non mmo) Final Fantasy games this year and just finished XII, so I wouldn't be playing it anytime soon.
Only Forza Horizon 4: Ultimate Edition since it's getting delisted. Everything else is the same price or nearly the same price as every sale, so why bother.
Nowhere Prophet
Battleblock Theater
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (liked Gunslinger)
Terminator: Resistance
Super Rebellion
Gleamlight
Samurai Shodown (with all the DLCs)
Zero Escape: The Nonary Games
Indivisible
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
A few of those are for the last sale I think but I can't remember which.
@MALEBRIGNON At $29.99 GTA Trilogy is a decent price imo. You are getting three legendary games that would keep you busy for quite some time if you complete them all 100%. I bought it day one and have no regrets, I also liked what Grove Street Games did with it giving it a more modern cleaner look. I must be in the minority but I thought it looked a lot better than the originals which haven’t aged well.
There’s only one thing I’m tempted to get and it is the Mafia Trilogy for £8 in a Just for You deal. Problem is I’ve already finished Mafia remake and Mafia 3 when I rented the trilogy on release and I already own Mafia 2 (Xbox 360) which is BC.
Edit: I’ve just bought Mafia Trilogy. At £8 it’s a proper bargain when you get all the dlc with 2 and 3 which I’ve never owned/played and also that 2 is a slight upgrade over the 360 version and of course the remake which is the best of the bunch. This will be my only purchase in this summer sale, that is if you count the Just for You deals as part of that sale.
I got:
Omno
Dragon Age Inquisition - GOTY Edition
No Man's Sky
Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty
Zero Escape: The Nonary Games
Nothing really anything as not much available I don't already own or haven't played on Xbox that is released on GamePass. Would have bought DQ11S but it is on PS+. It's a good deal at $23.
can't decide if i want to pull the trigger on WH40K Chaos Gate Daemonhunters or not.
I picked up the hidden gem Samurai Shodown. The 2020 revamp.
What a fantastic fighter. It was only £8 in the sale. I may be wrong but that's the lowest I've ever seen it. Can't stop thinking about it!
Bought FH4 Ultimate, and Samurai Shodown (plus its season passes).
@themcnoisy the 3 dlc are discounted too!
@HelsonR thanks Helson. Great game though.
Way too many things, as is always the case with big Xbox sales. The backlog continues to grow and grow and grow. I might have a problem…
