It's been almost a month since Ubisoft Plus finally launched on Xbox after what felt like an age of rumours and speculation. The team's service contains lots of huge titles to enjoy on Xbox including loads of games from the Assassin's Creed series, the Far Cry franchise, and much more besides.
While the £14.99 / $17.99 a month price tag does sting a little bit — especially compared to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate — there's undoubtedly a lot of value to be gained here from the sheer scope of Ubisoft's offerings.
Most of the big games in here contain extra DLC packs as well, with 'Gold Edition' versions often bundling in major expansions and the likes - adding even more value to the Ubisoft Plus subscription.
However, we must admit that we haven't tried the service out yet here at Pure Xbox. We see the value in adding games and DLC, but with the rate of new arrivals on Xbox Game Pass combined with our extensive backlogs (including lots of already-owned Ubi stuff), we just haven't got around to giving this thing a go yet.
So, have you tried out Ubisoft+ since its Xbox debut last month? We definitely think it's worth a shot if you don't have a huge Ubisoft library already and are eager to jump into some of the team's massive open world affairs.
We'd like to know if you've decided to give Ubi+ a go yet. If you have, which game from the available catalogue are you enjoying most? Comment down below and let us know!

Nope. And won’t at that price.
Nope, I'm not paying more for less. If it was the same price on PC and if it had the BC games, then I'd consider.
Nope. Most.of the Ubisoft games that I would play on that I own already.
Nah, most ubisoft games tank in price and I would rather just buy the game outright than rent, especially since I no longer care enough to want to play day 1. Gamepass is enough of a sub (and I barely use that) for me.
No chance I'll ever try this already bought most of Ubisofts games that I'm interested in.
Lol heck no! It's a total ripoff! How on earth could you have it cost more than Game Pass? Yves is proving to be incredibly inept at his job, Ubi just keeps taking Ls.
Nope. Even though I have none of their games (ideal customer) I have too much backlog to ever tempt me at this price point. I feel eventually it will be rolled into Gamepass.
Have I tried it? No.
Will I try it? No
Is it massively overpriced as a service? Yes
Ubisoft+ in a nutshell!
I could buy nine Lunchables for less than $17.99. I'd way rather have nine Lunchables.
@Kaloudz Agreed, I'm thinking of waiting till I can try AC Mirage and Settlers New Allies on Xbox on it, then see.
At that price though I doubt I'd stay subscribed long, they need to do some offers as they just don't have enough games coming each month (saying that, Game Pass has had a thinner 2023 so far, many more games leaving than being added while PS Plus adds 20+ every month...)
No and not willing to
@Kaloudz Yes the higher tiers on Plus, although funnily enough a majority of the additions the last few months have been Bethesda.
They do seem to get games that never come anywhere near Game Pass too, such as the Mafia trilogy - if I didn't dislike their consumer practices so much and had a PS5 I'd probably be subscribed but I can't be bothered to play anything on my slow old PS4 anymore!
As for Ubi, given they add all the Anno DLC which like the Sims or Crusader Kings DLCs apparently sells well, I think big new games will be on it as the big draw.
I imagine they're also assuming the constant DLC and events in their bigger games plus the long playtime will keep people subscribed.
Who knows with the way inflation is going and Sony upping game prices, maybe we'll eventually come to see Ubisoft Plus as a steal!
I will, yeah. It's cheaper than buying the three/four games I want and don't have yet. Plus, the DLCs are included in most of them.
So I will after my backlog gets a little smaller.
The only game that I don't already have that I am interested in is a switch exclusive, so this has no value for me.
No and I won't ever ever pay for it
I have really enjoyed some of their titles, but Ubisoft doesn't have enough different content to really justify a subscription. Most of their games are very similar and somewhat just feel like reskins in my opinion. Plus, most times their games are on sale within 3-6 months anyway, which makes the subscription rather pointless.
It still blows my mind that they are asking so much for this subscription, especially when you compare it to Game Pass.
I subscribe one month every so often when a really good new game comes out but at that price they won't attract many regular monthly subscribers
"However, we must admit that we haven't tried the service out yet here at Pure Xbox."
Well, duhhhh. Even you folks know that crap is overpriced at that rate. Lol
Hard pass for me, Ubi just does t do it for me any more, though they’ll get my money day one if they ever give me Child of Light 2!
If I feel like trialling a few Ubi games over a 3-4 week period then I might give it a go. Too many other distractions at the mo though.
I own all Ubisoft games currently haha, I wouldn't recommend to anyone to buy this subscription service , it's better when Ubisoft games go on sale and are 50-80% off in price. It's just my opinion
Not interested. If I want an Ubisoft game, I'll wait for it and all the DLC to be $20 or lower.
I don't like ubisoft games at all (except Rayman, and I own a physical copy) so no, cero interest in it
I think it would have been better if the backwards compat stuff was there
Not really interested because I already own most of the Ubisoft games for Xbox Series X. I'm glad that Ubisoft is offering the service, even if it's kinda of pricey.
I've got gamepass and ps plus there's no way I'll even touch this overpriced rubbish service I don't even think I'd be interested even if it was free nevermind pay for it 😂
Probably not going to use it.
Prefer instead to buy one of Ubisoft games here and there.
It's the usual Ubisoft model of overprice something, then complain that not enough people buy it, and then eventually scrap the whole thing.
Lol no, in fact this is a service I can confidently say I’ll NEVER subscribe to.
I'm with the consensus of "no". Just another greedy tactic to rip off consumers. Ubisoft seems to go out of their way to alienate gamers these days.
The more I look at the list the more I realize how little I care about Ubisoft games these days since I don't play AC or Far Cry lol.
Immortals looks cool, but that's on game pass and super cheap these days if/when I do wanna try it
Nope, and not just because of the price. I generally enjoy their games so I've already bought and finished the ones that I like. But even if that wasn't the case I don't think it will ever be worth £14.99 a month to me personally.
I won't ever get 'value' from Ubisoft+. I buy at most 1-2 games a year published by Ubisoft and often only after they have been out a few months and less than 'half' price. The last game I bought, Far Cry 6, I paid £25 for within a couple of months of it releasing - in other words, less than '2months' worth of U+ yet can play it 'forever'.
When you can often pick up games like Division or Watchdogs for under £10 each, it really doesn't make any sense to me to Subscribe. Its not as if I have ever spent £180 a year on Ubisoft games to justify giving them that in Subscription fees...
Ubisoft have massive sales and their games don’t hold their price physically either.
So it’s a never from me. Even their big games day one is no pull….. the cost is ridiculous.
Two people have said they will pay in this entire thread and both for the new AC game. Just buy it. Honestly.
@Kaloudz why not just buy the game? Nothing else is worthwhile, and paying $18 a month is silly
@Kaloudz Ouch - I played Mafia 1 and 2 originally back in the day, 1 was one of my favourite games ever (that ending!) but 2 I found a bit less fun.
I've got the remake of 1 on PC from Humble Bundle but wanted to give it a go on my XSX given it's more powerful than my PC - but yeah while 2 is decent I think you've already played the best one
Haven't done, but if they launch a big game day and date I like on it I'll sub to play it. But only for a month or two.
If they ever launch Beyond Good And Evil 2 I would certainly be trying it.
I won't. I have a few Ubi games mostly picked up at low prices after they have been out a few months, making the whole subscription model (for me at least) a little redundant. I've had my fill of massive open-world games as well...
Of course, the day-one availability will prove a draw for some I just cant see this taking off, especially given the comparison to Game Pass. If this was say, £7.99 (or national equivalent) then it might be a different story
This seems like the worst deal in gaming. GamePass price for some modern Ubisoft games.
Have I: No
Will I: Probably not
Why: most ubisoft games are incredibly boring and nearly the same. Play one, you've played them all.
also, dislike the "historical" stuff being changed to accommodate both current politics and revisionist history.
No, and I do not intend to. I purchased most of what I would play on the service through various sales long ago
Nope, not bothered. I would be OK if they increased GP Ultimate a bit to get access that way but the same price for titles from one company ain't worth it to me.
ubis soft is an has al tha waysz been ay' great company in gaming and ubisoft on xbox is 10 out of 10 thus far.
