Minecraft has been around for what feels like forever, but its enduring popularity means that it's always a part of the conversation - heck, a freakin' movie based on the game was just shown off this week. However, despite the Xbox One version of this everlasting survival game being a decade old today, Microsoft still hasn't launched a native Xbox Series X|S version yet. The question is - why on earth not?!
If you remember, such a thing was actually teased in the run up to the Xbox Series X coming out. Yep, way back in 2020, Microsoft and developer Mojang showcased bits and pieces of Minecraft with ray tracing; intended to be a major feature for current-gen Minecraft. Yet, for some reason, we're still waiting for that version of the game to launch - almost five years later.
