Well, that was The Game Awards 2021 and, although we might not have got the four or five announcements on a level with Elden Ring that host Geoff Keighley spoke of in the run up to the show, there was still plenty there to look forward to and enjoy.
We got a look at Tunic, some Hellblade 2 gameplay and a new Halo TV show trailer. There were also some tasty announcements in the form of Alan Wake 2 and a brand new Star Wars Game, Eclipse, from Quantic Dreams. For a look at everything else that was announced and shown during The Game Awards 2021 you can head on over to our full roundup to catch up on every little detail.
For now though, we've got a full list of all the winners from the awards, and a big congratulations to everyone at Hazelight Studios for their GOTY win with the excellent It Takes Two.

And this is a GamePass win for me. Without it there is no chance I would have spent money on It Takes Two, but I'm really enjoying it and pleased it won.
Keep meaning to try It Takes Two. I have someone to play it with on PlayStation but I refuse to buy it cause it’s on Gamepass and they have an Xbox they don’t use 🤣 maybe one day.
Nice to see something that’s not triple A win the big one.
It’s a shame that Psychonauts 2 didn’t win anything but It Takes Two 100% deserves Game of the Year. In fact I agree with almost all these results.
I hope that they make sometime in the future a single player mode =)
I wasn't expecting to see It Take Two dominate like it did, well done them
@Fenbops I think It Takes Two has a friend’s pass system so you only need one copy of the game between you. The other person downloads the friend’s pass version to play with. Still is likely not cross play so you’ll need to settle on a system to pay it on.
It takes two was a great game, deserved it.
Thanks for listing every award and everybody nominated as well. That show was way too bloated and most of the winners was just mentioned quickly in between other stuff. Nice to scan through a full list like this.
Elden Ring looks great, but probably not more anticipated than Starfield or BOTW2.
@CaptainCluck Nah, the souls genre is really popular these days and given that elden ring aint platform limited, it is safe to say more people are anticipating it than BOTW2 for Switch or Starfield for Xbox/Windows
Edit: Also George R. R. Martin being part of it surely attracts a considerable amount of GoT fans
Shout out to Returnal — I'm 42, been gaming since a child. Returnal may just be my favorite game of all time😁
