It's been a week or so now since Atlas Fallen made its debut for Xbox Game Pass in August 2024, so now that you've all had a little bit of time to try it out, we'd like to know how the Pure Xbox audience is feeling about this Game Pass action RPG.
Despite a few flaws, we actually really liked this game when we first reviewed it about a year ago - and it's even had a major overhaul since in the form of its 'Reign of Sand' update. There's plenty to enjoy about this one, even as bit of a 'double-a' release in 2023.
We understand that you've likely not seen Atlas Fallen through to its conclusion just yet, but nevertheless, how are you getting on with the game so far? Has it lived up to any expectations you might have had going into it?
The reception for Atlas Fallen generally trended a little bit lower than what we scored it here at Pure Xbox - the game has a 68 on OpenCritic, and a Metacritic score of 64 at the time of writing. But, what score would you give the game so far?

I didn't have any expectations for this game but have been quite surprised by it.
Can't comment on it's launch but right now it's pretty decent and has hooked me in enough that I want to keep chipping away at it.
Its not a game I am playing every day but when I do jump in I have fun and feel satisfied with my progress. Can't ask much more than that really.
The Surge 2 is still their best work. This is still a good game by an awesome studio.
I'm halfway through the main story, now I'm chipping away at side quests. It was always fun and the latest rework made it even more enjoyable. I can't recommend it enough!

I picked it up and a sale and was enjoying, haven't tried the new updated version but if it makes it better then great!
I do like the general aesthetic they are going for and the world hints at a lot of cool stories.
I'm enjoying it, gives me weird 360 vibes (think is the chunky armour).

Is it crashing as often for anyone else? I've placed my Series X differently, because Kena kept crashing. That made it marginally better, but Atlas keeps crashing in very active scenes.
I'm trying to figure out if it's my console (position, heat paste, something else?) or the games.
Good gamepass game. I wouldn't pay more than 30$ for it tho...
I am really enjoying it because if I paid full price and played this I would have a negative feeling.
With GP if I get bored I can let it go. Solid game to be frank.

I enjoyed it, 9/10. It could have done some more/better side quests (just to make the game longer).
@Echtzeit Crashed on me a few times, maybe like once a day. I put this down to the xbox resume/wake up feature but I could be wrong.
I'm fan of Surge 1 and 2 and was looking to trying this one. We play it since saturday in coop with my friend. Unfortunately this is mediocre game with some good ideas but many of them not developed enough to today's standards. Some activities are plain bad (Habitats). But fighting we enjoy very much so we will finish it.
