It's been a few weeks now since Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 finally launched on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and based on what we've been seeing on the Xbox charts, it appears to have sold pretty well so far.
You already know what we think about this one - our review was pretty glowing for Space Marine 2 when we published it earlier in the month, giving the game an "Excellent" 9/10 score and praising it as a top-quality action title:
But that's just us! We're keen to see how many Pure Xbox readers have picked up Space Marine 2 over the past few weeks for Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, along with how you've been getting on with it so far.
In fact, we're particularly interested in the Series S impressions, as obviously the game is locked to 30FPS on that console as opposed to 60FPS on Series X. Has that bothered you at all? Let us know down in the comments!

I seen a few people on my friends list playing it but don't think I'd be into the characters look really stupid like a four year old made them up haha
I love the game. It really does feel like a modern classic, not just because it's really well done, but because it feels like the games I grew up playing but dialed up to current technological levels. Remember Cybernator/Assault Suit Vulkan? Or Smash TV? Or Contra? To me it feels like those classics but in full 3D HD.
Seeing guardsmen mow down swarms of tyranids is a technical marvel to me, and the last-minute rallies and executions to restore shields as you get swarmed by smaller 'nids on all sides still feels awe-inspiring.
I wanna like it.
It was hyped up to be a new Gears of War-like game!
I loved Gears.
It’s not.
It’s a 3rd person ***** with a gritty dude-bro look. That’s where the similarities end.
It’s a very melee heavy shooter game that simply isn’t fun to play 😒
It's old school in the best way, it feels like a 360 era corridor shooter. Kill waves of tyranids, door opens and you move to the next area to do the same thing. I'm absolutely loving it
Who voted these things a 1/10?!
@Ricky-Spanish Exterminatous!!!
@UBERSICKO God bless you 🙏 there's colds going around at the moment you will be better soon 👍
@Medic_alert Yeah they just look a bit over the top for me but at least there's a good game out for everyone who is into that different strokes and all that 👍
ill pass, st petersburg made it.
It is an absolutely fantastic game, in my opinion. I think I'll be playing it for a long time to come.
@BigRedPaper just curious, friend, what do you mean by that?
Probably GOTY, need to play more.
@Regulus6891 literally noone hyped it up as "Gears like" sounds like you saw guys in big armor and thought it was the same thing. As for the melee bit, sounds like a skill issue
@Madness98
Yes because pushing the same single melee button over and over again requires a lot of “skill”
Or pressing the counter button during the lengthy windows of opportunity to do such.
My point stands, the game is simply not fun to play. It puts me to sleep.
Not got round to this one yet but it’s definitely on my list!
@luke88 it was made by russians, from st petersburg
