Poll: How Many Of 2023's Xbox Games With Gold Have You Played So Far?

I'm not sure I've played a game with gold ever.

I downloaded Guts N Goals for some local multiplayer fun with friends. Every time I’ve had people over we just play Switch games tho lol.

So 0 games played for me.

I don't think I played one this year or last year.

They've been trash for so long I don't even check anymore

Zero. All garbage.

Not just 2023 but I honestly can't remember the last time I even bothered to claim one, let alone download and actually play it.

PS Plus essential by comparison is trashing all over GWG in every way possible

For the King is a great game and highly recommend it for strategy fans. Would be ashame for people to think it’s “garbage” just because it was a Games With Gold.

There’s a reason it has an 88% Very Positive rating with over 23,000 reviews on Steam.

Iris Fall is also a good one.

I wonder how much fans are paying out for Gold when Microsoft Points covers the cost for Game Pass.

@BolkaRover A good point you can forget details like that, before Microsoft Points the most I payed for Game Pass was £70 for the year it's just about looking out for offers.

I have every single Games with Gold offering since it started back in 2013. I always claim them, why wouldn't you? You could see a YouTube video of one that catches your eye, or maybe you get into a genre that you weren't into previously and suddenly that game you never would have played is now great fun.

However... To date I have only played a handful.

Big fat 0! Garbage offerings every month! Xbox needs to shut it down.

I have no interest in any of them, but I'll vote For the King for the Favorite just because at least later on I could be interested if I can get some people together. But there's also so many other things we'd rather play so probably not.

The last one I downloaded was Portal 2 when they stopped doing 360 games, there's been nothing of interest for me since then.

Last game I played and actually enjoyed off this service was Resident Evil remake. That was awhile back and I did miss some months, but from what I've been seeing lately the games with gold games are kind of meh.

Ive been claiming them since day one, but I have only palyed a few of them and most of those I already owned.

Pretty indicting when the overwhelming majority won't touch this stuff for free.

@SplooshDmg AC syndicate, the ac platformers, vanquish. Once upon a time they had gwg games worth playing.

@NEStalgia This is true. However, those were the years when Xbox had already jumped head first off a skyscraper and I didn't have an Xbox. So, I never knew that Gold.

4 although I may or may not play Peaky Blinders.
If I had to rank them it'd be:

1). Sudden Strike 4 - Absolutely fun to play. RTS and Tactics games are my addiction.
2). Lamentum - The atmosphere was killer, just like Signalis. This game really came out of nowhere for me.
3). Iris Fall - Short, sweet & nice art style.
4). Trüberbrook - Interesting narrative, though I've never played a point-and-click game before.

The article reminds me I've not claimed em for months.

@SplooshDmg it lasted a little past that. They still had good stuff for 2 years or so after 1x released. Then it jumped off the skyscraper.

What I wonder is when they end games with gold and / or Xbox live Gold requirement to play online is do we get to keep the games that are for Xbox One and up. Sorry for punctuation and grammar and what not I'm voice texting while driving.

@NEStalgia I do remember the one month when we got Gears 5 and REmake. That blew everyone's collective mind. Then they tried to raise the price of Gold the following month. I still to this day think those two events had something to do with one another.

Ive never played any. But its not all trash tier stuff, theres a few goodies sprinkled in there. Just not many...

Not as many as i should have at the end off the day they are games for 0 so in the collection they go.

@SplooshDmg That whole gold pricing thing was the beginning of the momentum dropping imo. That's was just plain stupid and I can't believe they didn't think so. "Let's gouge more than Sony" is never a good plan.

I finished more than I would of thought! I enjoyed playing Iris Fall and Another Sight to name a few. I usually look at HLTBeat and if not too long I give it a go.

I just cash them in and that's it.

Xbox, if you’re reading this: please sunset Games With Gold and just roll the resources into Game Pass. It’s time.

Really enjoyed Lamentum, and I already owned Truberbrook so I skipped that one. So I've played 1 Lamentum but would have been 2 if I didn't own Brook

Haven't played any, but they're free so always claim them. I might have a go at praetorians at some point, nostalgia being the main factor here.
