Microsoft has officially announced the new Xbox Games With Gold titles for April 2023! These games are available to download for free for Xbox Live Gold members (including subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate).
Keep in mind that as of this past October, Microsoft will no longer be including Xbox 360 games as part of Games with Gold, so we're getting a limited selection of titles from now on.
Here are April 2023's Xbox Games with Gold games, with more details and footage for each of them:

Out Of Space: Couch Edition (April 1-30)
"There is no place like home, especially when you’re drifting through outer space. The challenge is that a deadly alien infestation has also settled in. Peaky Blinders: Mastermind (April 16 - May 15)

If you need to bribe a cop, use Polly, but if you need to bust down a door or knock a few skulls, take control of Arthur. These games are constantly rubbish I haven’t wanted to renew gold at all as if you don’t play online then these games are not incentives.
When games with gold started it used to actually have decent games but Microsoft are mugging people off with this sub par guff
First one reminds me of Moving Out, which I love, but will see.

The Peaky Blinders game is also available on Prime Gaming rewards if you want it on PC. Though with those games I don't think you lose access to them if you unsubscribe.
I'm so glad I'm not forced to pay for this on PC.
I have gamepass ultimate so basically my GP library grows by 2-4 games per month. At least these don't have a time limit on availability unless I unsub. I've found many great indies thru games with gold just like GP.
Peaky blinders looks decent, I'm always down for a stealth game.

I think Peaky Blinders reviewed well when it came out. I was vaguely interested despite not watching the show it is based on. I might check it out. I have never heard of the other, but I bear it no ill will

The price didn’t increase because of games with gold. The full subscription cost is for online gaming. That’s what gold is. The games are an extra bonus and therefore ARE FREE.
If you don’t game online and bought gold just for free games then you are an absolute mushroom 🙈
You know what, i'm happy w last month's and i haven't gotten to try any of them yet so i'll just carry that over into this month
Xbox, please ditch Games with Gold and just focus on Game Pass.

@Kratos46 it's not rubbish just because it doesn't appeal to you. The games might actually be well made and enjoyable for the targeted audience. I'm guessing the people who enjoy these types of games are probably saying the same thing about the types of games you enjoy.

@Dan1283 I am not familiar with those games, so I cannot say one way or another. Also, I think PS Plus now is where GWG was years ago.

if you expect AAA games with games with gold your expectations are too high, if your complaining saying they arent free well thats not true as you dont have to pay for them thus free, and to all those saying MS should kill GWG just cause you dont like the games doesnt mean others dont.. to me those complaining are spoiled.. MS can remove games with gold and the price fo gold wont go down youll just lose two games a month that may or may not be fun...and id bet those complaining about peaky blinders never played it and just assume its a bad game..... how bout play the game then critique it.... and i get they use to give you better games but a game is better then no game, and once in a while you get a hidden gem youd never would have expected...and if the game is crap just delete it..
@ZYDIO Nah Plus been good for years now. They didn't just get there. GWG was very competitive at one point, but has sadly diminished in quality.

@Rafie So, are these actually poor quality games, or is it just people that don't like those types of games complaining about it? I'm pretty sure Microsoft wouldn't allow all of these poor quality games on their store and then try to push them on people to promote their service. Microsoft is trying to cater to everybody with the free games. So of course there are going to be times when someone does not like the free games. That doesn't necessarily mean they are bad games or of poor quality. They could just give us no free games like they did for years and years, but people would complain about that too.

Gotta love the people claiming the games are ''''free'''. No, they're not. If you don't pay for Gold, you don't get the games, and if you stop paying for Gold, you lose the games until you pay again. It's quite actually the opposite of free. Just like Gold you have to pay for Game Pass and only have access to it while you pay - is Game Pass free? No, they're both services you either do or don't have by paying.
You can still like Microsoft & Xbox and be critical of them. Don't become the PureXbox equivalent of the average PushSquare Commenter.
Its a shame last months increase in quality appears to have been a blip. Whether you consider these to be free or not (I don't as Gwg is advertised as offering games, so you pay for them), they are pretty poor fodder compared with the competiton, so it continues to lose in that comparison.
There are a lot of people who wish to play online with friends but only want the cheapest sub to achieve this. They will look at gwg vs ps+ and make up their own mind, but I do find it weird that gwg hasnt been killed of yet so that the optics on this look much better for MS.
@ZYDIO just spoiled brats who want tripple AAA games they would want to buy so they dont have to... but instead of trying the games they rather come to a website to bitch and complain and say they should just kill gwg... peaky blinders is a fun game if you like that genre.... after a year of reading people complain about GWG my conclusion is they are spoiled and expect big name games fo some reason...
@Titntin Im afraid I need to correct myself! These games are quite clearly 'free' and Microsoft have taken great pains to make that clear... I should have checked the official line before instead of assuming. I still dont think its unreasonable to compare them with only other comparitive service, but the games are categorically free.
