March was truly a fantastic month for Xbox Game Pass additions, and as you told us in our recent poll, Evil West was your second favourite new XGP title during that time period - only surpassed by the behemoth that is Diablo IV.
We also mentioned ahead of its arrival that Evil West looked set to be a major hit on the service, so clearly there's a lot of demand for games like these on Xbox Game Pass. And for the most part, it sounds like it's lived up to the hype!
We say "most part" because the reviews haven't been outstanding for this one. It currently has a Metacritic score of 75 for Xbox Series X (which is the highest of any platform), and we actually went a bit lower than that in our 2022 review, despite also praising it as a "thoroughly old-fashioned shooter that manages to entertain in short bursts".
Reviews are just opinions though, and naturally Xbox Game Pass fans have some varied opinions of their own. So, what do you think of Evil West so far? Has it grabbed your attention, or are you done with it already? Tell us below.

I was a little disappointed with it, the gameplay felt quite dated to me - like a 360 era corridor shooter.
May give it another go once I'm bored of Diablo 4
Its downloaded, I just need to find the time

I tried it for a bit but hasn’t grabbed me yet….
It's my "current coop game" but me and my friends are all "deep in dogma" atm, so not played it yet.
The game is complete trash, it would've been great in the 360 era, but to release now with how it looks and plays, is abysmal. I beat it on ps just cause I bought it and I will never touch it again 😂

Definition of mediocrity. It's a X360 era, nothing special game. Unfortunate, as the western setting is actually cool and full of potential (and I don't ask for much, I recently played through Call of Juarez Gunslinger and had fun).
I'm surprised it didn't get more hate like Redfall. Visually, the graphics were a bit dated,, but the game overall was fun. Most of the baddies required only tenacity to kill vs any real skill. However, the last boss was a b*itch! 😂
It did seem a bit short but overall a solid GP addition. I never got bored. I probably would recommend waiting for a sale price if you plan to purchase.
It’s a fun game, solid 7 for me, but a little longer than it needs to be. I can’t attest to how it runs on Game Pass but it works pretty good on Steam Deck.
It's not a bad game, does it feel like an older game? Yes it does but to me it's part of its charm. The weapons and abilities are cool though.
I'm really enjoying it,it 100% feels like an Xbox 360 era game, and I'm alright with that as the Xbox 360 era was the greatest Xbox era imo.
@Chaotic_Neutral Beat the campaign in diablo 4 and do the renown for the skill points and come back to it May 14th. They are doing a huge overhaul for season 4 !!
Beat it last year - it was good for the price
Love it. Played through it in 3 days and will be starting NG+ soon.
