We all know about Forza Horizon 5 heading over to PS5 in April at this point - it's even getting one of its "biggest updates ever" across all platforms to celebrate. That's the benefit of third-party releases - they come with extra goodies!
The thing is though... at least personally, I jumped off this game a long time ago. It first came out all the way back in November 2021, and although the PS5 community is joining the party and a big update is on the way, I'm kinda more interested in waiting for whatever Forza Horizon 6 has to offer. I could be waiting a while, of course.
Perhaps that's the big downside to releasing games like these on other platforms. It's not like we're going to be surprised with FH6 in a few months' time - because why bother putting FH5 on PS5 if they were going to do that? Is there a chance they're holding back on a new version because they can just sell the old one on new consoles? Possibly.
Anyway, I'm not trying to rag on Forza Horizon 5 - it's an excellent game! I have no doubt it's going to sell extremely well on PlayStation 5 (and maybe Nintendo Switch 2), and I know there are countless Xbox fans who are still loving the game to this day. Heck, even Forza Horizon 4 still has a very decent playerbase all these years later.
Enough waffling, let's get to the point - are you still playing Forza Horizon 5 on Xbox? I'd love to hear from you down in the poll below. If the answer is "no", let me know if the upcoming PS5 release might tempt you back in as well!
What did you pick in the poll? Come and tell us in the comments section.

I don't play it anymore but that’s because I don’t really play multiplayer games much. I beat the single player campaign and the DLC stories already. I could see myself going back but that would be to restart the entire game and replay the single player content.
Nope not playing it. I typically play Forza games for around 3-5 hours per release. I love the audio and graphics but not enough of a racing fan to stay in there longer
I played it for like 5 minutes when I had an Xbox but I’m definitely buying it for ps5 especially with the dualsense. I just prefer the pad better than Xbox’s cheap feeling rumble. Plus I’m not a fan of gt that game is incredibly dull imo.
Not anymore. I do have FH3 and FH4 installed permanently and much prefer those to FH5. It’s a good game, but to me it’s a case of quantity over quality.
Not anymore. I have 403 hours (and 12 minutes) on Xbox Series X. I played both expansions, bought a couple of car packs, won the Eliminator, completed all of the stunt challenges, all of the story missions (that they released at the point I stop playing). I feel there's nothing more to do, I grew bored. Waiting for 6 to be announced.
I regularly jump back in just to blast around at ridiculous speeds and have a few races. Being a Scot I prefer blasting through mini Edinburgh in FH4, but only have enough hard drive space free for one of them, so 5 has been my go to.
FH4 was the best for me and the best in the series.
Also it runs 60fps full native 4K on series x.
No upscaling and fizz and rubbish that nowadays games have. Assassins creed shadows, Avowed and atomfall for a start.
Development has gone backwards.
I got bored and uninstalled it a few years ago. As someone who predominantly prefers single player games, FH5 didn’t really do much for me. Nice graphics though.
It’s still my favourite Series X game and I jump in for a few hours every now and then but stopped playing it regularly a while ago.
Occasionally. It's a great game for my 5 year old nephew that loves anything with a motor. He loves using my steering wheel and driving on everything but the road.
I played the heck out of it, loved my time with it. Finally started dropping out of my rotation about 6 months ago. And you could tell the same was true for others as multiplayer was getting a bit thin so I'm happy it's about to get a fresh boost of active players.
Really wanted to like it - and it’s in no way of a ‘bad’ game - I just disliked that it threw super cars at me so early. It’s like oh ok then I’m done
It's probably a better game than FH4, through incremental improvements, but it is SO similar that if you put a lot of hours into 4 it just felt very unrewarding. I put over 100 hours into FH4 and around 10 in FH5.
I replay these games a lot, but the best iteration is FH4 by a mile imo, so if I'm playing on the series x, that's the one for me.
I've not played FH5 for a while as I know it was coming to PS5 and I want to play it there, mainly as my wife is a big fan and despises Xbox controllers, but I'm also hoping the pro version has far less pop up at 60hz than the series x version, which is a problem for me.
Seems daft buying another version when I'm still on GP, but I love these games so I don't mind ( I've bought 4 and 5 on steam too).
Nah, I have gamepass but I've been waiting for the ps5 release all this time 👍
The I'm not playing because I don't like it coming to ps5 option though 😭
Currently playing fh3 ...I'll replay fh5 on the ps5pro ...tbh wish I had a xbox sooner otherwise I wouldn't be stuck on ps ecosystem
I count the PGR series among my all time favorite game franchises, and enjoyed FH4 quite a bit (80+ hours), but FH5's annoying personality and bloat, combined with its overwhelmingly confusing structure and menu system made me quit it after just a couple hours. Haven't played it since launch week.
I played it quite a bit when it came out, but it fell off my radar a few years ago.
I still play it the odd time to scratch the racing itch it's a really good game!
It's going to do very well on playstation all other open world racer games are 💩 compared to it!
Tried either Horizon 4 or 5 for Game Pass Quests, but it's just not for me. I'd rather play a pure Arcade Racer than one mixed with any Sim elements.
I continue to play most of the FH games where they still work. I love the series and just do a few races at a time to keep it fresh.
Article should be “as forza cruises to ps5, are you still playing on xbox?” Lol.
I’m at level 164 on Forza Horizon 5. I went back to the first one a few months ago and played through it again and am now playing through the second one. I’m looking forward to playing Forza Horizon 3 now that they have fixed the HDR in it. The screen was way too washed out before they patched it. Looking over my saves, I’m over level 100 and almost at 200 on each of them. It’s the main reason I play my Xbox so much!
I was playing it every Thursday with my friends from release through a couple months after the 2nd expansion. Loved my time with the game but it ran its course. The only game we stuck with longer as a group is probably Gears 5.
FH4 and 5 are the entire reason I ended up keeping the Series X I bought a year ago as my first Xbox.
I absolutely fire it up every so often, just to enjoy the pretty graphics and the VROOM VROOM!
I enjoyed what I played of it but overall I think FH4 is the better game with a much better progression system. These days though, I don't really play either and FH5 in particular takes up far too much space to just be sitting on my hard drive in the hope that I'll boot it up occasionally
I loved it, but don't play it now just because I played it to death then moved on to other things. Can see myself going back to it to play with friends once it's on PS5 though, so it's nice for me that more people get to play and I might get reeled back in as a result of that too.
I clicked “I got bored” but that isn’t accurate.
I played it a lot at first and enjoyed my time with it, but other games a have taken me away from it and I don’t have enough time for all the games.
Man, they're gunna be in for a treat.
This was my least played Horizon game by far don't know if I'm just burnt out on the series or what but think I've got less than 20 hours into it.
Very occasionally I will put it on but the game didn't seem to click with me in the same way Horizon 4 and its prequels did.
Never really played it in the first place. FH3 was great and saw a few dozen hours of play. FH4 was okay and got maybe 15-20 hours out of me, but always got turned off and ignored during the winter season. FH5 I booted up, finished the tutorial race, completed maybe 2 events past that, and I uninstalled the game forever. Just lost my interest in the series, never really liked Racing games much anyway, and I just didn't enjoy the map like I did FH3. Even FH4 was more interesting even despite my general disinterest in the British countryside.
I'm honestly glad Playground moved on to Fable because I just don't have any interest in this series going forward.
@shoeses same. i’m dying for a new midnight club from rockstar
Undoubtedly still a very good game and still comfortably the besting the Crew Motorfest by a fair bit but it never had the variety or appeal of FH4 and for me that always held it back. Will be interesting to see how much improvement it has over the series x version on ps5 pro. I have been an Xbox fan and owner since the og Xbox but now because of the way Microsoft have treated us Xbox fans play predominantly on PlayStation pro but I am still a game pass owner and a reasonably frequent player on series x
I played (both) on Xbox One S and PC, who knows how many hundreds of hours.
Probably I almost fully consumed it.
There is no reason for me to re-install it and spend more time.
Yeah but I realized how a big part of my active interest was simply getting new monthly cars and checking them out. Now that they have pretty much stopped releasing new cars I have lost a lot of interest, like there isn't anything for me to go back for outside of just driving around cars whenever I am in the mood.
Playing it weekly on steamdeck and often on Xbox. Same as Forza H4. Both epic games. Especially on steam deck. So much to do and unlock.
I've not played it wet but I will at some point soon.
H3 was great, H4 was decent but little too big. I expect H5 to be decent but way too big, all new games tend to be now 😂
I'll only H5 because of KITT being in it.
