It's time for another round of Pick One! This weekend, looking ahead to next week's slate of five Xbox Game Pass titles, we thought we'd highlight them once again and see which you're most looking forward to trying out.
The highlight is arguably CrossfireX, which will be launching one of its two campaigns on Xbox Game Pass, but we've also got the likes of Edge of Eternity and Besiege launching day one with the service on February 10th.
Remember you can only pick one!
Let's take a look at what we're working with:
Date | Game | Platform |
February 10 | Besiege (Xbox Game Preview) | Console, Cloud, PC |
February 10 | CrossfireX Campaign (Operation Catalyst) | Console |
February 10 |
Edge of Eternity |
Console, Cloud, PC |
February 10 |
Skul: The Hero Slayer |
Console, Cloud, PC |
February 10 |
The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom |

Crossfire but also looking forward to Edge of Eternity.
And if you haven’t yet tried Dreamscaper, give it a go! It’s really good!
Weirdly it's last kids.
My kids love the show and have been waiting for a truely epic discount to buy it (since its clearly typical tie in quality) but there it is on gamepass
Edge of Eternity looks to scratch and itch for a jrpg. The cat mount is super cute. Will be trying out Crossfire with single player and multiplayer.
It was crossfire, until I learned that they... split the campaign into two parts!... and are only putting the first one on GP!... and Xbox is letting them do this!
wtaf
None of them. Which is good because I have too much to play as it is.
Crossfire, is it also available on pc?
@abe_hikura I’m in that exact same boat! I’ve been eyeing it for a while but was waiting for a price drop or sale. I saw it was coming to GP and added it once I knew I could.
@isturbo1984 I didn’t know about that. That’s absolutely absurd.
@Odium Yeah, there always seems to be a caveat with AAA Game Pass titles. Always. I suspect when Stalker 2 drops, there will be some massive issue everyone has to deal with while justifying why its still good for absolutely no reason. Meanwhile, I played through a single-player indie Nobody Saves the World with zero issue.
Had my eye on Skul a while back but Besiege will likely get some of my time too.
Edge of Eternity easily for me. I need a good jrpg!
I think is juts about the first time I went "Hmmm, nothing here interests me."
@Medic_Alert Yes, will definitely have to wait for reviews of Crossfire X campaign. There are a lot of warning signs right now. e.g.
None of that suggests confidence. I have low expectations, but would love to be pleasantly surprised with a short, enjoyable campaign.
@Medic_Alert Agreed! I'd love to see less of a thing, and often have a media blackout on games (Horizon:FW right now. I've only watched the first trailer) but respect that this isn't everyone's view, many can't get enough.
But I think it is actually something I think we are already seeing with Game Pass. Far less marketing and fanfare than the typical launch model and some absolute silent surprises especially in the indie and AA space. It's the Netflix model basically. Effectively trusting users to see what games have arrived, what's popular, and rely on word of mouth far more than typical advertising.
Yes there's still the occasional system seller like Halo that has adverts and product tie-ins absolutely everywhere, and likely a nine figure marketing budget. But unless i'm reading it wrong we've seen far less of this from MS since Game Pass took off.
This is potentially a really positive thing. Smaller advertising and marketing budgets means more money can be spent on elsewhere like on games. And for projects with smaller budgets the excellent curation and discoverability of Game Pass makes it such a win for these games to find an audience.
@isturbo1984 it certainly seems that way. I’m a few hours into Nobody Saves the World and it’s absolutely fantastic, I haven’t even had a single hiccup of any sort.
@Odium Oh man... no freezes, no bugs, no resets. Everything worked. It was great for once.
Honestly, none of them, but if the reviews end up being pretty good I'll give Edge of Eternity a shot sometime down the road. I'm skeptical on CrossfireX as well even though it's Remedy. I guess basically a wait and see approach on them all, but I'm already busy with games for several months regardless.
@isturbo1984 it’s sad how it’s so rare these days that it stands out when a game works
Skull is the one I am most looking forward to but basically interested in all apart from crossfire
I noticed game pass took away the section of new games in the past few days. Making it harder to find the newest released games. Does this make any sense?
