Was delivered the 31th of August and yes it's amazing, the game code etched in the same creditstick featuring is really well done, heavy thing too
I usually don't go for this sorta thing, but I grabbed the controller and headset also and geek out every night after work since last Friday. Still not sure what to make of the game, maybe I'll figure it out after 200 hours.
I wish I could get this, but the cost of milk lately is making me contemplate stealing a cow so I better not fork out too much.
Lovely bit of kit, hope they continue to improve watch and app, some features not switched on yet (weather), eg could add daily steps taken to sync to the app.
But I wear it for show only!
Wow that looks so cool. Absolutely love the watch and the patch also. Always liked that logo since I first seen it. Wish they had the Artbook and Soundtrack as being actual physical copy’s though. That would perhaps be more worth the price in my opinion.
Licence to rip off fans. The game and expansion are £100. Paying £150 for the rest of this tat is almost criminal, and certainly not value for money no matter how you look at it.
However, everyone values things differently and Im sure there are some who value these things greatly, I hope they love it.
@Titntin while I agree that this is pretty hefty in price, I will say the Chronomark watch is an everyday accessory now. Genuinely love the thing.
I bought this and I absolutely love that watch. Been getting lots of compliments on it from co workers and friends. The box also looks nice next to the controller and headset.
@HelloCraig Im glad you love it mate, and even said I hoped people did. I bet they are getting it made for £30 a unit though (if that), so my critiscm is to do with the value proposition rather than the item, which looks fun.
The collectors' editions of games nowadays are really not up to the standards of similar editions in the past. There used to be a time when collectors' editions actually included a game disc, soundtrack CD and a physical art book. For the £250 price of this Starfield edition, I'd expect to receive physical copies of the game, soundtrack and art book. But no, it's all digital. The only physical stuff you get is a watch, a patch, a plastic box to hold everything, and, get this, a steelbook case. But there's no game disc to store in the steelbook case! Crazy.
The collectors' edition of Spiderman 2 on the PS5 is just as bad. For your £200 you receive a statue of Venom, a digital copy of the game, and, yes, an empty steelbook case. Come on, Sony, you cheapskates. People have paid £200 for this. At least throw in a physical game disc.
I'm planning to buy a PS5 some time in the next year, but as I prefer physical games over digital, and I have no interest in owning a statue of Venom, I'll be buying the standard physical disc version of Spiderman 2.
In any case, good luck to anyone buying a sealed copy of the collectors' edition of Starfield or Spiderman 2 on ebay in 10 or 15 years' time. You may find the code for your digital copy of the game is no longer valid, and you're left with a load of collectors' tat and no game.
Priscilla Ricart is a thing of beauty, that is just expensive stuff.
@sabreman64 But if it contained the disc, it wouldnt even have day 1 patches, never mind updates, so its just useless plastic containing pre release code and of no value anyway? Its a pointless inclusion, which is exactly why its not there.
Tintin, I presume from your post that you're a gamer who hates physical game media (discs and game cards). If we use your logic, then game discs and game cards are (and always have been) useless bits of plastic. At least my "useless bits of plastic" will still work in 15-20 years, which is more than you will be able to say for invalid download codes.
