Gotham Knights is worth $20. Good story and combat outweigh the negatives IMO.
Hogwarts legacy £59.99 on sale hahaha that's not a sale that's not even the old pricing model. N
@Foxx I had to do a double take as well. It's the deluxe edition, usually £74.99.
Not very "Ultimate" in my book. It's the same games at the same prices that are on sale week after week with a couple of new ones thrown into the mix with barely any discount.
Good thing really as that means my money stays in my wallet.
I can't believe I predicted Jedi Survivor getting a discount lmao! I'm going to grab it tomorrow! Can't wait to continue Cal's story 🥳
Elden Ring is worth $250. Grab it if you haven't played it.
Control Ultimate at this price is worth every penny if you never played it. A true gem.
@cburg I think this is the first time Elden Ring is on sale.
@all3forever I heard there is some content locked to the PS/PC versions of the game, is that true?
@Markatron84 @Wheatly did you notice that the the GBP ain't doing to well here too. Some of these are one to one with the $. Guess the CMA really ticked them off!!!
Tiny Tina's wonderlands also totally worth $20. Most complaints came from end game content, but the campaign is really great and would take 30 to 40 hours to finish everything.
@Nighto4 From what I remember hearing, the Hogwarts Legacy content on PS is pretty minimal. It did not sound like we were missing out on much but it still stinks.
@Scummbuddy I was talking about Control Ultimate, not Hogwarts.
Looks pretty bad from that list to me...I will give it a proper check tomorrow
What makes these sales so much lamer is you have to sift through everything every time just in case something is at its lowest low this time. And not the the new stuff that's slowly settling since launch, no no, old games that should've bottomed out a long time ago.
Thoughts on rdr2 prices and assassin's creed Valhalla price?
@shoeses I want to say there are sites that make the whole ordeal easier by notifying you when a game reaches its lowest ever pricepoint but I've completely forgotten their names lol
EDIT: Xbdeals.net does the trick, and psprices for playstation.
@Nighto4 ps just has the one mission exclusive to the platform titled 'isolation', much like hogwarts I suppose.
I had completely forgotten about that though.
@GhanaViking is it 60 fps on Series S?
@Cherip-the-Ripper I use TrueAchievements for that, but the problem with a lot of the games I'm looking at are 360 & OG Xbox games, where you can't afford to wait too long because they could go away overnight. Still kicking myself because I said 'I'll get P4A next time it's on sale', and now it's gone.
I've got Elden Ring, Gotham Knights, and No More Heroes 3 in my cart. Not sure which one I'll grab, but more than likely it'll be Elden Ring.
@NintendoByNature I've got No More Heroes 3 in my cart as well, I have a £5 voucher which will bump it down to £11.69. I might bite the bullet and get it.
BTW, Gotham Knights is a lot of fun from personal experience.
@Nighto4 It's just an extra sidequest on the PS version.
@Solidchief yea for sure. I didn't think NMH 1 was all that great, but at 20, I wouldn't mind trying 3. Gotham Knights plays alot like arkham games i take it?
@NintendoByNature For the most part yeah but the combat is more similar to Spider-Man on PS with relying on dodging instead of countering like in the Arkham games.
Pretty much every game I was hoping to be in the sale was but only the super duper editions or worse the deluxe editions, and all of them cost more than the RRP of the base game.
The super duper editions I get, those do usually represent some sort of actual savings. Sure I get that I might not buy the DLC if they just discount the core game but I'm certainly not buying the DLC if never buy the core game
But the deluxe editions, those really bother me If didn't want to pay the full RRP for the game, I'm not going to more than the RRP of the core game for a few throwaway cosmetics.
I'm not blown away by these prices to be honest. There are some titles I would pick up if they were cheaper, but this sale isn't enough to tempt me in...
@all3forever Absolutely agree that Control: Ultimate Edition is worth every penny. I double-dipped since I've only recently joined current-gen on a new Xbox Series X. Great recommend.
@shoeses You can add any game from the store to a wish list. Every time it's on a sale, you'll be notified and get a direct link to it. If you are interested in certain games but don't want to browse the store every week, just add them to the wish list. I find it very useful but also browse the store often and I'm grateful for its swiftness compared to the PS and Switch choppy stores.
Please, buy Project Zero, Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, so we get the first three games remastered! The first and the second games are not backwards compatible and the third is stuck on PS2. The fourth and fifth are already available on all platforms.
@Banjo- I only keep things unlikely to go on sale on the Wishlist, because if not you get spammed with notifications.
@shoeses Only once per week at most! Not all the games you want are going to be on sale every week. I only got two notifications this week and this sale is huge. You can try to keep your wish list only with games you want the most or that are more expensive usually.
@Banjo- Unless they changed it in the past few months, I got new notifications for the same things every time I turned my Series X on, sometimes new messages during the same session too.
@shoeses That's weird. I only get the notifications once per week at most when the sales go live and include games from the wish list.
@UndyingInsurgent95 I'm torn between Cyberpunk and Jedi Survivor. Loved the last Jedi game... but I'm curious to see how Cyberpunk is after all the drama.
@jumpin_jeeps I would get Jedi Survivor personally. However, if you're really curious about Cyberpunk, maybe wait for the upcoming expansion to drop in price.
