I assumed they were already doing this. It’s one of those ideas that just makes sense. It’s really hard to see any downside. And MS have been making those logical decision a lot recently.

BC is one of my favourite things about Xbox and really what pushed me into getting an XB1 so I’d love to see more. Unfortunately I think a lot of the stuff I want is made difficult by those licensing issues e.g. Outrun 2006, the Project Gotham games, JSRF, Simpsons Hit and Run

YES, absolutely. Make it a focus. Long overdue.

Once you get used to 60, it’s hard to go back to 30. A lot of early 3D games are unplayable now because of them putting out 20ishFPS Slide shows. If 60 isn’t a Focus this Gen I’m getting a PC.

I’d say it’s pretty obvious the majority will be exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem. As others have said, you don’t pay $7.5bn for a Company and then don’t leverage what they produce as a USP.

Going to give Gears Tactics a try and play Tetris. Main attraction will be the upgraded Forza Horizon 4. Might buy Watch Dogs depending on reviews. If The Ascent, The Medium and Crossfire X make launch I’ll be playing them too.

Got one (Series X) from Currys in the U.K. with minimal fuss. They had a Queuing system on their website that held up really well.

Nintendo got left behind when it comes to Digital Gaming by Iwata. First in not seeing the rise of Online Gaming. Then by adopting dreadful anti-Consumer DRM on Wii/Wii U/DS. They’ve never caught up.

Fantastic. I would say It hope it lives up to expectations’ but there’s no point, Forza Horizon always does.

Fair play to MS and Sony. With the lack of Info and pricing they’ve pretty much turned me off the idea of a Next Gen purchase this year.

I keep trying with RDR2 but just can’t get into it. Unless it happens in the next few days I probably never will....

No surprise. It’s the BC that’s making me more likely to get an XBSX first, the pick up a PS5 in a few years once it’s dropped in price and has built up a library of exclusives.

$599 would be a disaster. They need to be undercutting or at least matching Sony if they go lower.

It’s actually quite an encouraging sign regarding the long term future of Xbox. Not an easy decision but even if it takes another 12 months, a Christmas 2021 release for an absolutely top quality Halo game is far better than a Christmas 2020 release of something substandard or even unfinished. That would stick dirt to both the Halo and Xbox brands.

Fair play to MS/343. Yes it’s annoying when games get delayed but it’s usually for the best. I was worried they’d just release whatever they had and patch it up later but hopefully now the extra wait will be worth it.

To my surprise, looking at them next to each other I prefer the White. I suspect when I see them next to their respective Consoles and IRL the Black will look better.

Of course. Game Pass is such good value it’s not a surprise that GWG have deteriorated in quality. And anyone who doesn’t play Online can free up funds to buy games.

No problem with it being on PS4 at all. Would be a very welcome addition to Game Pass.

B for me. Lots of variety, an impressive number of new announcements and Japanese games. But too much CGI and a lack of Gameplay and Release Dates. Same problems as the Sony presentation really but I thought this was slightly better.

Cool. I’ll sell my PS4 disc and play this instead.

This does look very nice. Got a very good feeling about this.

They’ve certainly got me dangling on the line here. Between the Machines impressive Power level, Backwards Compatibility (not just Games but Controllers and Hard Drives), Game Pass and Xcloud I’m ready to break with tradition and go for a Day 1 Console purchase (Switch was my first since the Wii). This showcase doesn’t have to be jaw dropping to seal the deal, though obviously it would help....

I understand that view. However GP is only an option. You can still buy games instead or in addition to GP. Of course things may change and we may start to see GP getting games first or even exclusively, and the price may go up. But at the minute it’s an extremely good value option alongside other purchasing methods.

Of course it’s November. That’s when Xbox Consoles launch (e.g.OG, 360, XB1, even XB1X).

Looking forward to it. Pressures on guys, this is a big day for Xbox, could define the next couple of years maybe even the whole generation. Set the narrative now.

Comparing this to the OG XBox launch is bold too. That was one of the best launches ever in software terms-Halo, Project Gotham, Dead or Alive 3, Munich’s Oddysee, Amped only a few days delayed etc)-and Series X will do very well to match that.

He’s spot on. If you’ve been around as long as me and can remember all the way back to the 16-bit Console wars, and indeed the 8-bit Computer battles of the late 80s, it really is boring now.

The best thing for the Consumer would be all three platform holders having a third of the market each. That’s what I want.

I’ve voted Forza Motorsport but what I’d really like to see is Horizon 1-4 at 4K60. It could surely be done.

Would be funny to see the company that started the trend of charging for Online play be the first to stop. Not sure that’s the idea though, more likely to just roll it into the other services.

Both have issues but I quite like the PS5 logo in black and white so that edges it for me

I’d love to see them go back and Patch some older games. Forza Horizon 3 and 4 can run at 4K 60 on PC for example, would be great to see them optimised for Series X. Gears of War Ultimate too.

4K 60 sounds glorious. But I’d be equally happy if everything had an option for 1440/1080 at 60fps. Save me buying a Gaming rig. I need a new Sofa soon as well.
