Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Revealed, Arrives Spring 2021

So happy that this has finally been confirmed - while it would have been nice to get an official release date I can fully understand and support not doing so given how many games have had their release dates delayed this year. Knowing that it's actually happening and that they're working on optimising it for next gen is enough to put a smile on my face today. Happy N7 day everyone! 😁

Re: The Xbox Series S Reportedly Has 364GB Of Usable Storage

Given the Series X has about 200GB knocked off its 1TB the Series S is actually a bit more that I expected (I thought 300-325) if this is indeed accurate. I plan of having a 5TB external drive connected for storage and will keep the games I'm actively playing (Valhalla, Gears 5, Gears Tactics and likely Forza Horizon 4) installed on the internal and will swap other titles in and out as required if I get a hankering to play something different or want to give one of those a break for a while if space becomes an issue. I have decent download speeds at home now so it's less a concern to have everything installed all at the same time (I'd got over 10TB on external drives for the One before getting new broadband - went from avg.7mb/s to avg.170 so it makes quite a difference!)
If/when the expansion card comes down in price I'll get one of them as I can then use that in the Series X when I upgrade to that (hoping at some point next year)

I'll try the demo beforehand and if I like it download the whole game when it launches in GamePass next month since progress carries over. My question though is will achievements automatically unlock upon playing the full game since I'd assume at least some of them will have their requirements met in around 10 hours of gameplay? (Heck that's longer than some complete games these days!)

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Still Want To Know About The Xbox Series X|S?

I think I only have 2 questions left - what's the useable memory on Series S?
My understanding of backwards compatibility is that all games will run better on the new consoles (but some Gears 5, Forza Horizon 4 etc will receive updates to "optimise" them for the new generation) and that back compat games will be able to run from an external drive but will those games that are not "optimised" still run with the auto hdr and faster load times or do they need to be on the internal ssd for those "standard" benefits to apply?
