Re: Don't Expect 'New' Next-Gen Xbox News At The Tokyo Game Show

@mousieone Not stupid or mean at all. And to be honest you hit the nail on the head a bit.

All three do have some true exclusives but its narrow in number. I wasnt clear myself by timed I meant console timed. But again that gets confusing too lol.

Bottom line no matter which console anyone picks be plenty of content to enjoy.

Also dont apologise for having an opinion whole point of a forum!

Friendly debate is good its the arguments recently breaking out between a select few that have made my teeth itch lol

Re: Don't Expect 'New' Next-Gen Xbox News At The Tokyo Game Show

Jaxx420

@mousieone Yakuza patch isnt exclusive. Its a timed one that. The Medium is likely timed and no console manufacturer can call Tetris exclusive and keep a straight face.

Last paragraph I fully agree with you on though. Lots more to Xbox than Halo and I expect a lot of the niche titles at TGS being shown as on Xcloud day one as well. Japanese gamers will love the idea of Dragon Quest XI on mobile and tablet.

Bad examples.

Re: Don't Expect 'New' Next-Gen Xbox News At The Tokyo Game Show

Jaxx420

This thread was about Xbox at TGS and hardly any comments about it 🤣

1. Xbox has a lot of games. All three do. Did Xbox lack hard hittting first party exclusives last gen perhaps? Thats subjective. They had more than Halo/Forza/Gears thats fact.

2. Spiderman Miles Morales is NOT DLC. Its a standalone game. Will it be shorter in length? Sure but no one has confirmed its $60 either. DLC stands for downloadable content and its getting a physical release so thats that one.

3. They are plastic boxes. What matters is what is played on them. Stop getting so amped up 🤣

Now all that is over. Anyone want to speculate what will be shown? I know it wont be new stuff but I am betting on an xcloud blowout and a look at next gen Yakuza.

Re: Xbox Series X Has A Big Backwards Compatible Advantage Over PS5, Suggests Ubisoft

@KelticDevil Xbox has games what it needs more of are franchises. They are what generate sales and subscriptions.

I getcha when someone says all Xbox has is Halo Gears and Forza it grinds the gears as the reality is different. But flip the other way and look at the casual gamers they are the three brands they will associate with Xbox. Thats the bit they need to address as franchises make the the most money.

I too remember the 360 fanboys who trolled just as badly sadly. Brings out the siege mentality amongst forum users on the "winning side" when they feel threatened.

Thankfully those trolls/users represent a small portion of their fanbase though. I think most true gamers know console wars is a dead in the water fad and casual gamers dont know it exists. Just that small group in the middle of that, that cannot let go.

Re: Xbox Series X Has A Big Backwards Compatible Advantage Over PS5, Suggests Ubisoft

Jaxx420

@IronMan30 @BlueOcean @KelticDevil I agree with all three of you.

However I do think across this community at least that far too much emphasis on the Push Square community as a representation of the wider Sony fanbase which isnt great. They represent such a small portion.

Can only speak of my friends at least but surprising how many true decent PS fans are multiplat gamers.

Re: Xbox Series X Scoops Gamescom Award For Most Wanted Tech

Jaxx420

Looking at above comments the handbag fights are coming out too quick here lol and way off topic. Lets not do what other sites do eh? Doesnt make for good conversation!

As for on topic. I am not surprised its got the award. As much as nomination criteria is sketchy this is MS prime time to right any wrongs of last gen now so there is a lot of interest in Series X and what it will bring to the table.

I expect most gamers will assume PS5 will be simply more of the same as Sony dont really need to and havent changed their approach.

MS have changed their approach substantially and for the better.

Re: Xbox Series X Has A Big Backwards Compatible Advantage Over PS5, Suggests Ubisoft

Jaxx420

Not ideal but I am torn whether it is the right thing or not. When they are coming straight out of the blocks with an all digital console as well full disc based bc would no doubt impact adoption.

I can forsee something being integrated into PS Now further down the line if the hype for it is there. Sony are notorious for being reactive and not proactive. Crossplay is an example.

Certainly not competition over as some say. But its nothing to be glossed over either.

Re: Latest Halo Infinite Rumour Suggests Xbox One Version Could Be Dropped

Jaxx420

@BlueOcean When MS have made such a huge deal about not having "generational exclusives" and locking players out based on hardware choice. It would be a huge decison to cancel the Xbox One version.

I question whether it would be unpopular though. I think a lot of players would support a true next-gen Halo. But they may be nervous about whether a game developed with cross-gen in mind from the ground up could move to a true next gen game without further delays to this one.

Re: 343 Responds To Claims Of Halo Infinite Development 'Turbulence'

Jaxx420

@Tharsman Too much of a big deal is being made out of it because Halo is such a big franchise, under the spotlight.

343i have certainly had some issues and some of it could indeed be down to some co-ordination and management mistakes, but they aren't shying away or sitting in denial about it either, so I think the media needs to move on from it.

Re: Microsoft Reveals The Xbox Series X Will Launch In November

Jaxx420

@BlueOcean I wouldnt really complain too much about the PS5 launch lineup as this is a thread about Xbox but ill put it out there - I think their launch lineup is weak as well.

I just think Halo has had a lot more development time than other first party titles and should have been ready and weakens the lineup overall. Not to mention a huge marketing opportunity pushed back.

Again I may be wrong but like anything on a forum - opinion. I wouldnt say anyone else was wrong for saying the opposite to me.

Re: Microsoft Reveals The Xbox Series X Will Launch In November

Jaxx420

@Tharsman At one point it was communicated as Spiderman remastered with some extra Miles Morales content. That was the miscommunication.

Again. I dont disagree though. No gameplay cant judge it.

My point was third party games and patches wont be enough to entice too many Playstation only gamers over to Xbox at launch. Halo is a big loss for that.

That being said. It begs another question. Do Microsoft care as much as they would have in a previous gen? With Xcloud launching I am not so sure as they can grab some of those gamers that way anyway.

Re: Microsoft Reveals The Xbox Series X Will Launch In November

Jaxx420

@BlueOcean It is console war spin. No one knows anything about the game length yet to call it DLC. People are bashing it as DLC because of some poor comms by Insomniac initially that has been jumped on.

But I am neutral with it. I dont think its enough for Sonys launch either but besides the point.

Launching your console for me needs a flagship launch title on it. A killer app. Those invested in the PS4 are not too likely to move over/upgrade just for third party games or games with next gen patches.

But I dont disagree with you. The big games of 2020 are all third party. And thats a problem for both companies launching new machines to be honest.

In a rosy coloured world they should launch next Spring. But its business they cant ignore the holiday season I guess. Launching in the holidays with a weak first party lineup is better than not launching in the holidays.

Re: Microsoft Reveals The Xbox Series X Will Launch In November

Jaxx420

@BlueOcean I didnt mention PS5. And Miles Morales isnt DLC. Thats the latest term used in console war spin. I am not taking part in that no time for it I am getting both so console wars are lost on me 😂

I think both launch lineups are relatively weak which is to be expected we are smack bang in the middle of a pandemic. Most first party games on both sides have suffered delays. Horizon, GT, Forza, possibly Fable too.

Why this is poor is this is a game that has been in development since Halo 5's release. It should have been ready. It wasnt there is no sugar coating that for me. But as with anything. Its my opinion and nothing more.

Series X enhanced games are great but should not be used to market the console launch. A lot of existing owners have played them there needs to be a flagship title to entice them to upgrade. Gears Tactics I am on the fence with. Flight Simulator is geared towards the PC crowd.

Re: Halo Infinite Has Been Delayed Until 2021

Jaxx420

MS have been doing so many things right but this is just poor. Especially as the game has been in development for several years.

Game Pass catalogue and third party will carry them through launch but one of their flagship first party games should have been ready.
