@Benjamin not to go against your sentiment, but developers do sign NDA's. Usually it's also clearly stated on their contract they are not allowed to speak about ongoing developments without company permission.
@themightyant "A few articles on niche website's like this isn't going to change it's sales outcome by much."
That's the bit isn't it. Because it probably won't change anything (even if the game is crap, which maybe even is idk) on the grand scheme, but it could mean Ubisoft refraining from working with this developer (company) in the future.
It's like getting my company hired to build a house. And as the outside paint is drying standing on the street going "looks a bit ***** don'it?" to people passing by. (forgive the analogy, it probably sounded funnier in my mind!)
@Benjamin except this is isn’t whistleblowing, it’s plain old trash talk that puts your coworkers’ livelihoods in jeopardy. Even if you think it’s crap, it’s deserving of its marketing phase because there will surely be people who enjoy it. And this guy is trying to take a big ol dump on it for attention and internet epeen coupons
This trend of highlighting disgruntled developers crapping on games is terrible. It’s insulting to all other members of the team and very poor professionalism. Shouldn’t be rewarded with attention
@jarvismp i think it’s madness to spend 120+ quid every year on an MMO sub, but you don’t see nearly as much complaining. FIFA is 50/year and is consistently one of the best selling games so id say the price is right, madness or not. Personally i like that there are deeper gameplay/content changes every year, rather than a game as a service model
@jarvismp So 50 quid is too much for a game people spend hundreds of hours on over the course of a year? Do you know any other yearly videogame that costs 15 quid at launch? It’s the same conversation every year, gets tiresome. Most of all I always wonder why people who wouldn’t play it either way are the ones most bothered by it. Cheers mate
@jarvismp i see this complaint every year (always coming from someone who doesn’t play the game of course) and my question has remained the same for years: what would you change on it? It’s a football simulation game, it’s already pretty good at simulating football. So what would you change, keeping in mind that suggesting a complete overhaul would alienate the millions of people who actually enjoy the game as it is?
@NEStalgia as you know, there was a time when Gold was just for online play. GwG was/is just a nice bonus since its inception. It remains just like it always was. Difference being that now there are better value services for people who want games. (plus, you don't even need Gold anymore to play free games online)
I don’t understand why you’d need “save/reload” when the game autosaves and has infinite respawning from the latest checkpoint tho. This isn’t an emulated version of the games, they save each play.
@xMightyMatt14x I’ve played through 1 2 and cd without any issues.. some bugs on the original mega drive versions are actually fixed
@JayJ they changed 3 tracks out of hundreds for licensing reasons. As for performance, i have no idea what you mean, I’ve been playing it for hours without issues.
But you seem to have made up your mind already. Hope you get to enjoy it eventually
@Fishticon that’s what going mainstream is. All other industries work like that, and exactly why some professional prefer to stay indie/freelance. But when your dream is to work on Sonic specifically, that’s not really an option.
Really miss those days, but if Xbox was to grow and prosper it had to grow beyond that. Really nice how MS managed to include more gamers without shutting out the hardcore ones that started it all.

Re: Release Of GoldenEye 007 For Xbox Reportedly 'Still In Limbo'
Just gonna say it:
Game's not good enough for the amount of coverage it gets/has gotten along the years.
Not sure who this is for except for people that played it 25 years ago and forgot that it isn't that good.

@JayJ the sonic community is toxic cesspool. Ignore it. The game’s great, having lots of fun
Re: Xbox Series X|S Has Outsold PS5 In Japan, Again

Re: Roundup: Here's What The Critics Are Saying About Sonic Origins
@RadioHedgeFund THREE zone songs. That's what they "changed" by using the original prototype versions produced before MJ's involvement.
Three zones are affected. Out of 14 just in Sonic 3K.
You're the one missing out bruv
