@Joabra01Swe I remember using wireless controllers with a megadrive 30 years ago. It has always been personal preference, little to do with the advancement of technology. Personally i prefer wired unless I’m fairly far away from the console.

Tbf Sega usually is apt at pricing its games. For a long while kid oriented games like Sonic and Monkey Ball were priced under 50$. They are probably looking at big hitters such as Like a Dragon and Persona for the price hike.
Meanwhile games in my european corner have been 70€ since the early 2000s

@Sam_TSM you could have the S version of the game available to X users, but i wonder if it wouldn’t be too confusing

@Sam_TSM that's not really how it works.. this is actually the best case scenario: the Series S has a much lower file size since it doesn't use the same resources

EDIT: also, RT and fps aren't an issue in regards to game size, it's mostly textures (and videos maybe?)

As someone who used a wired 360 controller back in the day, the weight distribution and comfort was much better than the wireless version.
The absence of a battery bump in the back, and no battery weight. It was great.

Sony groveling in the mud trying to stop two companies unrelated to them from making deals is not what anyone had in their bingo card when this deal was announced.

Sony is setting themselves up for massive embarrassment at this rate.
They positioned themselves as the absolute losers if this deal goes through.

@wilmer007 unlike the examples of mediums you listed, consoles are a conceptual thing. PS5 and XSX are gaming focused computers with closed software ecosystems. The Switch is a gaming tablet.
Both are far removed from what a SNES or MegaDrive were, but they are still consoles.

As long as people want to plug a box into a TV and play games, consoles will exist one way or the other.

We've been hearing this shlong for 20 years now.
People like to have something connected to the TV to play games. Consoles are going nowhere

@Fenbops sony is still the same company that celebrated kicking Sega off the hardware space, assuming Nintendo would be next (before MS showed up). Their fans share the same mindset.

@stvevan what is the expected backlash of praising one of the best selling most beloved games of the year? At which point should we start ignoring the 30 twitter users that continue to be outraged at things that have nothing to do with the things they are angry about?

@uptownsoul they should, by significant margin. There are more digital-only Xbox consoles sold than disc-capable. It’s the complete inverse on PS5.

Logic would dictate there are more digital sales than disc sales on Xbox, opposed to the PS5

@Cherip-the-Ripper something can’t be well made and broken at the same time. There’s nothing broken about them. They have some crappy online modes, that doesn’t make a game broken

@Kloppo I’ve played Fifa since 95 and NHL since 2000. Also play F1. Love sports and racing games. And they do have issues of course, especially noticeable if you play hundreds of hours every year. But they are far from broken.

Coming from 95 to now has been unreal, the game we have today was only a wet dream back then

@Kloppo just because you don’t like them doesn’t mean they’re broken. These are some of the most played games on earth. Some of these franchises are maybe older than you. They’re doing something right

@grumpypotato you’d buy the magazine and get hyped over 2-3 minuscule off screen photographs of a beta level. There were no be “release dates”, ever. The games were technically archaic, and we still had lots of fun.
