Back in February, we highlighted how some Microsoft Rewards users had received emails suggesting that the redeem prices for Xbox Game Pass might be going up in April, and we're almost at that exact date of April 20th now.
However, before then, an old option for redeeming three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (or PC Game Pass) has begun appearing in the "Redeem" section - and it's still featuring the old price of 35,000 points for a Level 2 member.
This now means you've once again got the option to choose between one month of Xbox Game Pass and three months of Xbox Game Pass, and you can still take advantage of the auto-redeem feature as well.
It still remains to be seen whether we'll get a price increase on April 20th, but if we do, it seems one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate could jump from 12k points to at least 17k, and PC Game Pass could go from 7.75k points to 10.5k. These are the auto-redeem prices that began appearing for some Microsoft Rewards users a couple of months ago. Of course, this doesn't necessarily apply to every region - some still don't even have Microsoft Rewards yet.
So, just in case, it might (and it really is a might) be worth redeeming those Game Pass subs if you can.
Have you been racking up any Xbox Game Pass membership time with Microsoft Rewards recently? Tell us below.

Already stacked to 2028 at lower rates, but would use it if I had 35k
The thing with Gamepass is that it's still excellent value, even with a potential price increase when compared to TV streaming however and this is a big however - if we've already got significant backlogs on other platforms/devices, it becomes less attractive as the value decreases with time available to play the games. I only subscribe for a few months each year to knock out what I consider essential releases. That's just me though. I hope Xbox don't get too carried away as there is a lot of competition these days.
@16BitHero I'm stacked till 2027 and play a lot on Game Pass, I also have PS+ and I get it at Black Friday and I've already cover the £80 it cost me. The key thing with both subscriptions is to make sure you get the value out of them, and with Game Pass at the moment I can't keep up.
You highlighted one thing that I keep saying and that's the ability to be able to drop in and out when needed, if you're the kind of gamer that might spend time on a new game that isn't on Game Pass.
@Th3_Highlander with all the stacking its a no brainer.
but how many would pay full $20 usd/m? what if we get another price hike.
Good argument is that you can buy bunch of new games that you want on release (many arent on GP anyways) and older games can be bought on sale.
@Millionski Ninja Gaiden 2 remake, Eturnal Strands, Elite Sniper: Resistance, Atomfall, Avowed and on the 8th South of Midnight have all been day ones on Game Pass just this year that I can remember.
$20 vs $60+ is the main question, along with playing the waiting when games do drop on.
I'd rather buy a game to own out of reward points!
@Th3_Highlander how many people have time to play all this? also biggest games released in first quarter are KCD2, AC shadows and MH wilds - none in GP.
All 3 are big games enough to last for couple of months for average gamer.
that's the problem in the service imo for average player.
I agree its tremendous value for active players interested in multiple genres like us here in the forum.
I've always made fun of these Rewards because where I live (Belgium), it almost doesn't exist and it's not possible to get the Game Pass Ultimate option. We only get the Game Pass Core 1 or 3 months (6800 and 15000 points for a level 2). And as said above, the few times I manage to accumulate 10000 points, I prefer to have a €10 voucher and buy a cheaper game as a result.
@Gmork It does suck for those who don't get the full benefit or get them at all, but even then there's always CDKeys or Shopto which I've not needed to use yet. At least you're making a saving, and I don't know if anyone else does this but the wife also collects what she can outside of Game Pass rewards.
Snap it up at 35k points, it’s potentially going to go to 51k
I'm cool with any changes made. I mean, we've had it so easy for years in regards to the rewards. It was nice back when it was hella generous, but all good things come to an end.
@Kaloudz We have to be lucky it didn't go up on the first price hike, but a saving is a saving.
@Th3_Highlander Exactly. Never look a gift horse in the mouth, as they say. Your tag just reminded me of the remake they're doing for that movie. Should be here pretty soon!
@Kaloudz Not with the rumor of the money printing machine that is John Wick 5, it is meant to start this year but when the irons hot you keep going.
@Th3_Highlander Oh really? I thought it was all set in stone - Henry Cavill set to play the titular character and the lot?
@Kaloudz It was originally January and now May, so as they say time will tell.
@Th3_Highlander Yeah you're right. I'll give it a blast either way. I enjoyed the OG movies immensely.
