Back in 2023, a 2D platformer known as Disney Illusion Island was released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, and now two years later, it's finally being pushed out to Xbox and PlayStation consoles as well as PC.

The release date for Disney Illusion Island on Xbox Series X and Series S is May 30th (2025), and it'll include all the updates that have been added to the Switch version, as well as a new C.A.S.H. update featuring Scrooge McDuck.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy embark on a new adventure to find three magical books and save the mysterious island of Monoth in Disney Illusion Island for Nintendo Switch. You’ll meet unusual allies and dangerous foes as you play solo or with up to three friends as the Fab Four in local co-op. Work together as you run, jump, swim, and swing your way to victory!

You might be interested to know that the developer behind Disney Illusion Island also made the Battletoads reboot back in 2020. We actually really liked that game, although it perhaps didn't fare as well with the majority as hoped.

Disney Illusion Island has received similar reviews to that game (73% on Metacritic vs. 72% for Battletoads), although our sister site Nintendo Life gave it an "Excellent" 9/10 back at launch a couple of years ago.

We'll throw some screenshots from the Switch version below, and there's a new trailer up above.
