It's a busy week for Diablo! Just yesterday, we saw Diablo 3 getting added to Xbox Game Pass for the first time, and then Blizzard decided to reveal the 2025 roadmap for Diablo 4 later in the evening, revealing what's to come this year.
As you may know, the next expansion for Diablo 4 isn't planned to arrive until 2026, so for the time being, there are various new quests and updates on the way. Interestingly, mouse and keyboard support on Xbox is a planned feature!
Here's a look at the Diablo 4 2025 roadmap, along with some of the highlight additions this year:

- Belial’s Return: Belial, Lord of Lies has returned to warp reality to his will. Daring wanderers can clash with Belial and 2 bosses from Vessel of Hatred as part of the updated Lair Boss system.
- Sins of the Horadrim: We return to Nightmare Dungeons with new activities and interactions that let you progress the dungeon’s intensity as you hunt down the barons of Hell.
- Infernal Chaos: Infernal Horde Updates – Infernal Horde is becoming more chaotic as we put new choices into your hands. Plus, advanced options between Infernal Waves will arrive, too.
Quality of Life Updates: Beyond seasonal updates, there are other permanent additions coming to Diablo IV:
- The frequently requested feature, keyboard and mouse support for consoles, will give you more control over how you experience Sanctuary once it arrives.
- Core system updates are coming to both the Battle Pass and Seasonal Journey, ensuring these features evolve in ways that are more rewarding.
You've now got two options when it comes to Diablo on Xbox Game Pass, and we're hoping to see even more in the future - there's still the little matter of Diablo 2: Resurrected that should join the service at some point too.
In terms of Diablo 4 though, how are you getting on with it right now? Is it a game you're still playing, or did you fall off it a long time ago? Let us know your thoughts on it down below, and whether you're liking the sound of this roadmap.
Any key features you're most excited for here? Tell us in the comments section.

Is Diablo actually successful on Xbox? I never see anyone have anything nice to say about it.
I still play D4 but usually only the first couple of weeks per season as I usually exhaust the content by then.
Nothing on road map looks super exciting on the face of it but will have to wait on actual details I guess. Interested to see what "New IP colab" is. Hope its something substantial but I expect it to be purchase mtx from store.
@Brigurugi I don't know about successful, but I love it. Take it for what it is, which is a really fun hack and slash. If you are looking for a true rpg experience, find something else.
I reckon we get a D1 and D2 drop before then in GP. Or is D1 not on console? I don't recall.
@Kaloudz D1 was only released on Playstation 1 as console goes. At the time there was no Xbox so I am not sure if it's a PS exclusive, since it never came to the N64, they got Starcraft instead. It could come to Gamepass PC though.
I fell off of Diablo 4. It was fun don't get me wrong but so overwhelming and it just felt like a game that I would have to put in alot of time to fully enjoy. A far cry from Diablo 3's pick up and play feel.
@Tasuki Ahh, thanks man. I couldn't recall off the top of my head. Perhaps at some point they'll bring it back but if I understand correctly, I believe most people hold 2 as the best in the series. I personally prefer 3 to 4, but they're the only 2 I've played.
@Kaloudz The Playstation port of Diablo which was my introduction to the series wasn't bad just a bit odd especially the way to save. If you wanted to save your progress it took a whole memory card!!! Not quite sure why that was but needless to say I never got far in that game.
I do believe that people regard 2 as the best, especially with its expansions but I can't say myself as I never played 2 since it was a PC exclusive. Like you most of my time was spent with 3 and 4 and out of those two 3 is my favorite. 3 just has that pick up and play feel where I can jump on do a dungeon or two and jump off and I am satisfied. As I said 4 is not bad just has alot going for it for someone like me if that makes sense.
@Tasuki A WHOLE MEMORY CARD??? o_O What the hell? Why on earth would it take up all that save space? I remember being able to save multiple games with multiple saves on one of those expensive little cards.
Yeah I totally agree with 4. D3 was definitely more pick up and play, and for me, the drops were more rewarding. Like, when I got a weapon or armour, I would race to see the stats etc... whereas D4 the drops were just that frequent and that in-your-face that you just never hold a weapon for more than half a level :/
@Kaloudz From what I remember you could save your character which didn't take as many blocks it just took all the blocks if you saved your progression like how far you were in the dungeon. So if you didn't save your progress you'd have to do the entire dungeon in one run and beat Diablo.
Of course if you play Diablo on a PS3 you don't have to worry about that since saves go straight to the hard drive. But yeah back in the PS One days it was annoying. A few other games took up whole memory cards, another one that comes to mind is Gran Turismo.
@Tasuki Ohhh I get it now. Okay then yeah that makes absolute sense - seeing as there's so many things to save and keep track of in the series (assuming the first game has even a shred of depth as it's sequels).
