Alongside Xbox's usual set of weekly deals, which we've covered and highlighted our top picks from already, Microsoft is running another 'Buy One, Get Two Free' promotion right now - and this one includes a strange selection of games.
We'll be honest, most of the offers in this particular sale aren't great. While the two cheapest games of any three-game selection here will of course be free, we have lots of big expensive editions included for titles like Hogwarts Legacy and Star Wars Outlaws - meaning it'd actually be cheaper to just pick the games up on sale individually.
However, if you scroll through the selection and pick out some of the cheaper games in here, you can get a decent deal. For instance, Ubisoft's recent Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition hasn't gone that cheap in standard sales yet - and you can grab it here for £17.99 / $19.99 and get another two cheap extras at no additional cost.
This style of promotion has become a much more regular thing on Xbox as of late, and they really are hit-and-miss overall. Sometimes these sales contain some pretty good deals, but other times — as is the case here — you really have to dig to find anything of value.
Still, we thought we'd bring this to your attention as there may be a cheaper selection of titles worth grabbing - but we'd steer well clear of any of the big expensive AAA game bundles included in this new 'Buy One, Get Two Free' Xbox sale.

These offers never quite seem to quite align for me, like using this one as an example I won't find a third game to justify pulling the trigger vs buying them separately.
@abe_hikura They are almost always often more expensive than if you had bought the games in a sale last week. They put the prices back up to full price for this 'Sale'. But perhaps there's a good deal hidden in there somewhere.
Yeah I'll pass thanks. Whilst a lot of these games are great games, the prices are baffling. I mean Watch Dogs Legion, for £100, when it's coming to GP next week? Nope.
Had a look earlier as at first glance it sounds a good sale. But it's not. So that's that.
@themightyant Yeah it is all very "Temu" pricing.
@Kaloudz don't think people check half of time they'll be some dummies who think oooh then b complaining on review section next week 😭 seem a few before people saying just bought this 2 days ago now it's on gamepass n I'm thinking not hard to Google see what's coming 😂😂
I never bother with these. Unless there's three games that you REALLY want it's best just to buy the one or two you want on sale. You might get better savings with this sale, but not if you buy a game you don't really want.
@Decimateh Exactly right lol! I've seen it several times in the past. Granted that's the super deluxe edition or whatever, but paying £100 when you can nuke the game on GP next week for part of the sub would be a baffling thing.
Too bad Avatar is not the Ultimate Edition. Or else i might have pulled the trigger.
€129 for Star Wars Outlaws Ultimate Edition, Avatar Ultimate Edition and The Crew Motorfest Ultimate Edition would have been a good deal for me.
@Kaloudz mad how many people don't know they can just use google before buying 😭 n plus the fact ya can play game on gamepass n usually get the deluxe stuff by buying the dlcs if ya wanted to n save half ya money 😂
@themightyant exactly this, just had a look on CDKeys and Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe is £24 and Watch Dogs: Legion is a tenner
Do you know how to post links to the actual sale page?
@Decimateh ya can play game on gamepass n usually get the deluxe stuff by buying the dlcs if ya wanted to n save half ya money
Exactly, exactly, exactly. Plus, like said above, you can grab games much cheaper from CDKeys and likeminded sites.
@Ocat
You're so right! I loved all of those titles a great deal
This is not a good sale imo, they've been offered much cheaper than this several times.
