Lenovo Accidentally Raises Hopes Of A Halo 5 PC Release

To this day, Halo 5: Guardians remains the only mainline Halo title not to release on PC, despite the Master Chief Collection being super popular on Steam ever since it arrived five years ago. Well, fans of Xbox's big green chief had their hopes up this weekend that things may soon change regarding Halo 5 on PC, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

To sum the situation up, fans recently spotted a Halo 5 image tucked into Lenovo's marketing materials for its new 'Legion Go S' handheld device. One mockup screen appeared to depict Microsoft's 2015 Halo title featuring a Steam logo - hinting at a potential PC release. Pretty quickly though, Lenovo's senior community manager Ben Green shot down any chances of this happening.

Here's the image in question, along with Green's response:

Funnily enough, the image is still live on the Lenovo product website, and besides the team's very frank response up above, we have no other information on this image and why it exists. We're assuming it's a simple mockup that wasn't intended to be 100% accurate in terms of the games shown, but Halo 5 complete with what appears to be a Steam logo is a surprising inclusion nonetheless.

Of course, if we hear any more info on a potential Halo 5 PC release we'll keep you in the loop, but for now it still looks like Xbox's 2015 Halo release will remain an Xbox One exclusive.
