It's been just over a week now since the biggest Xbox sale of the year went live - the Xbox Countdown Sale 2024! So, we thought we'd take this opportunity to look at which games have been selling the best so far.
When we did this for the Black Friday Sale, we focused on the US version of the Xbox Store, so this time we're going to pluck out the highest 25 games from the Xbox Countdown Sale on the UK version of the "Top Paid" Xbox Store list.
So, here's a look at the current "Top Paid Games" in the UK for just the Xbox Countdown Sale 2024:
- Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League (Deluxe Edition) - $4.99
- EA Sports FC 25 - £27.99
- UFC 5 - £27.99
- Hogwarts Legacy: Digital Deluxe Edition - £18.74
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition - £6.99
- F1 24 - £20.99
- Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition - £12.49
- Red Dead Redemption 2 - £18.14
- Subnautica - £8.24
- The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria - £8.37
- EA Sports WRC - £11.24
- Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox Series X/S - £17.49
- Batman: Arkham Collection - £7.49
- EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Edition - £39.99
- Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Deluxe Edition - £31.49
- CarX Drift Racing Online - £6.24
- Undisputed - £37.49
- Stray - £12.49
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 - £11.99
- Elden Ring - £29.99
- Cyberpunk 2077 - £22.49
- Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 - £44.99
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: Cross-Gen Bundle - £52.49
- MX vs ATV Legends - £10.49
- Mafia: Trilogy - £12.49
If we look beyond the top 25, the likes of Need for Speed Heat, The Crew Motorfest and The Outlast Trials are all not far behind, while it's worth noting that some of the EA games that have ranked highly in the list (such as EA Sports WRC and UFC 5) have been given away at rock-bottom prices to Xbox Game Pass members recently.
In the US, it's unsurprising that Madden NFL 25, NBA 2K25 and EA Sports College Football 25 are ranking highly, but otherwise there are very few differences compared to the UK. theHunter: Call of the Wild does make the top 25 though.

I picked up the Mafia trilogy and Metro Saga bundle. They were a really good price, and solid games to boot.
Suicide squad is a good game especially at that price!
Been doing some next year 2025 game release analysis.
What Xbox doesn’t seem to realise I don’t think and definitely doesn’t advertise.
If you have GPU or even if you don’t to a degree.
Taking third party games out as they are for both consoles.
When you look at 2025 line up compared to Sony with Ghost 2 being their own studio big AAA, Xbox has stacks more big releases.
Avowed
South of midnight
Doom
Fable
They really should advertise this and Xbox consoles more, especially as Xbox consoles has over 50% of the GP sub attach rate.
Xbox greatness is there in front of them but not shouted about at all.
@Ricky-Spanish Yeah its good game for a fun play through & even though i paid a little more than the current sale i don't regret the purchase.
Its just a bad live service game and that was always the sticking point for me. They would have done better releasing content as story dlc rather than seasons & battle passes
To say I buy a lot of games would be an understatement, but I did buy Suicide Squad Deluxe Edition a couple of days back.
However, when I perused that list I was struck by just how many of them I already own!
1. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League (Deluxe Edition)
2. Hogwarts Legacy: Digital Deluxe Edition
3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition
4. Red Dead Redemption 2
5. Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox Series X/S
6. Batman: Arkham Collection
7. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Deluxe Edition
8. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
9. Elden Ring
10. Cyberpunk 2077
11. Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2
12. Mafia: Trilogy
I guess it's no wonder I rarely find something in sales to buy, as each of these games was bought having pre-ordered them... 🤪
@OldGamer999 they should release Xbox console versions of the S or X for some of those big releases. A custom Fable theme or DOOM theme would sell like hotcakes
@RiverGenie The characters in the game are very good and the banter with them if the effort was put into this that it was just single player or co-op game it would of been amazing!
#1 Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League (Deluxe Edition) - $4.99
This reminds me of the old adage "there are no bad products, only bad prices" it's not quite true but does affect out expectations significantly.
Picked up Remnant 1 and Risk of Rain 1. I played Remnant a long time ago on game pass, at the time the story was incomprehensible to me. After playing the sequel for 200 hours I want to go back to it to see it again and also do the DLCs.
Some pretty nice games, might go a pick up stray, but already got too much to play.
It's always amazing to see how GTAV keeps showing up in all (or most) these kind of lists.
I picked up the Mega Man X bundle, No Straight Roads, and the absurdly titled "Marsupilami: Hoobadventure". There are a few other games I have my eye on, but these were the first.
Suicide squad and Jedi survivor as in backlog and not sure when I will get to it so for 9 quid picked it up. Also grabbed battlefield 1 to try out the dlc and battlefront 2 as fancy that again
Wow suicide squad so low?
Is this game Crossplay?
These lists always make me wonder how much bigger gaming could be if casuals actually played good video games.
gaming would be much better if fans actually bought games...
