At the start of the week, Xbox developer Treyarch began teasing the first seasonal content update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and now the team has fully detailed Black Ops 6 Season 01 - it's an absolutely massive update all-in-all.
The headline news is this: Black Ops 6 Season 01 is bringing six multiplayer maps, one new Zombies map, multiple new weapons and operators, new game modes and more to the Xbox Game Pass title - and that's not to mention what's coming to Warzone this month as well.
Here's the game's Season 01 roadmap, which is that packed it's hard to take everything in:
As we mentioned Warzone there, we'll quickly touch on that as well. Just like in previous years, the free-to-play battle royale will integrate with Black Ops 6 as the game's first season arrives, and this year is no different. Warzone will become Black Ops flavoured next week too, with a brand-new map — known as Area 99 — that's "inspired by the relentless and rapid gameplay of the Multiplayer Map Nuketown".
All of your Black Ops 6 weaponry will also move over to Warzone with Season 01, alongside the game's brand-new 'omnimovement' mechanics and a whole lot more. The latest Call of Duty blog post goes into full detail about Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 01 - that's well worth a read if you'd like to know about all the nitty gritty details of this huge update.
As for when you can go hands-on with all of this, including on Xbox Game Pass? Black Ops 6 Season 01 begins on November 14th, with select content arriving during the game's mid-season update later down the line.
