Yesterday, Xbox UK unveiled its official plans for Black Friday this year, with some solid deals to be had across Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and their associated accessories. However, as we hit one week until the big day itself, loads of retailers over here have slashed prices even further - especially for Xbox Series S consoles.
Yep, right now in the UK, loads of big retailers have the Xbox Series S 512GB model priced at £199.99, there or there abouts. Amazon, Argos, Smyths, EE, AO (members) and likely others have undercut the official Microsoft Black Friday price of £209.99.

Some of these retailers are then offering discounted bundles when paired with other accessories, so the listings are always worth a look to see what's on offer. This isn't a huge difference compared to the brand-new Microsoft price of course, but it is nice to see the console under that magic £200 price tag ahead of Christmas season!
When it comes to Xbox Series X, we're not seeing anywhere near as good discounts to be quite honest. Microsoft's refurbished models are now £100 less than the brand-new RRP — which is an okay saving — and you can also get refurbished Series S models at £40 off - making that the cheapest option of all if you don't mind a used console.
Anyway, we just thought we'd bring these to your attention in case any Pure Xbox members were looking for some Xbox console gifts this holiday season, and for a full guide on all things Xbox Black Friday deals, check out our links below.

UK here so just shopped up and seen PS5 black Friday deals, starts right now.
PS5 disc £409
PS5 digital £310
Series x disc £460
Series x digital £430, sorry that price is a joke.
Series s 512gb £200
Microsoft you got no chance against those Sony prices. Maybe a few Series s sales.
But as for the big power consoles really don’t want to sell consoles, DO YOU.
It is dam obvious at these prices for Black Friday against the competition
Update
PS5 disc now £399.99
The white digital series x at £430
Is it April Fools day already.
Xbox are just like Ford in Europe, UK.
They had great selling cars sometimes number one seller for a year or two.
Recently they have pulled all of those cars out of Europe and introduced crap we don’t want.
And no real advertising.
End result very low cars sales and shutting European factories.
I always had a new Ford car every three years
Now it’s a new Honda civic.
My point Microsoft are doing the same with Xbox.
All we want is great games like in the xbox360 days.
We get average games, bad game launches, game pass fodder and no advertising and terrible Black Friday deals, especially compared to the competition.
End result low sales and totally out of touch with the European market. End of Xbox in Europe in any mean full way the same as Ford.
Two create American firms totally out of touch outside of America, lost and bewildered.
@MeanBeanEgg
Xbox have obviously given up in Europe
Or more Microsoft the American owners have.
As per my article below about Ford USA car company.
Totally lost their way outside of the USA.
How does a simple article highlighting the sale price of an Xbox get such angry comments?!🤣
Anyway, I might pick up a Series S at that price for the bedroom. Useful when my other half is using the TV downstairs.
@Dalamar73
All my nephews and the odd Niece are screaming PS5 and a few Switch this Christmas.
And at those Sony PS5 prices we know what is going to happen.
@Dalamar73
Those where the days at Christmas
The rush of the Atari 2600 with Pac-Man
Under the Christmas tree.
@MeanBeanEgg
It’s terrible really, I was an original Xbox owner and all Xbox consoles day one.
And in Europe they are zero
And if you have just seen the pure Xbox Stalker 2 review.
Another blow for Xbox and game pass.
Is any youngster or teenager or mid twenties gonna want that against Astro Bot and Spider-Man 2 etc.
@Dalamar73
After Atari 2600 I went down the Commodore 64 route.
Nerd wars in the school playground over Commodore or Spectrum 🤣
Then onto Sega master system and even the mighty Neo Geo and the rest is history.
@Dalamar73
Yes just seen it.
I’m playing Dragon Age on PS5 Pro right now
And might get SW outlaws as a good update dropped today and it’s also Pro enhanced and it’s in the Black Friday sale.
@Dalamar73 Heading to John Menzies newsagents to check out the games for my Commodore 64. It mad to think how they used to be one of the main places for games before actual game shops became popular.
@Dalamar73 I think the most expensive game I bought for it was Mayhem in Monsterland and it was pricey because it was not initially available in stores if I recall and was mail order only via the C64 magazine.
That said it was one hell of a game
If you are in the UK, I’d recommend using Very. Especially if you can sign up as a new member. They give extra 20% off. It would make the S closer to 160.
Picked up ps5 disc, Astro bot, sm2 and the new sonic game for circa £405.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner I used this code to get a pro. Brought the price to a smidge under 560. Got a buyer for my ps5 at 350, which makes the whole thing more palatable.
@Weebleman I wish I’d done the same but didn’t really think of the size of the saving.
My own fault but I’ll live
@PsBoxSwitchOwner yeah, I saw someone else mention it so I jumped. Had i not, I wouldn't have bothered.
