For the past four years we've been waiting and waiting for the Xbox Expansion Cards to come down in price, and although it has happened, it's been a very gradual process. The biggest shift came when Western Digital announced it was making its own brand of Xbox Expansion Cards, meaning there were now two manufacturers on the market.
And, if you're interested in picking one of these up, the 1TB Xbox Expansion Card is now available at its lowest price ever on Amazon! It's a discount of just over 20% in both the UK and the US, as long as you're an Amazon Prime member.

The catch here (besides the Prime requirement) is that there are only a limited number of 1TB Expansion Cards that will be given away at this price - so you'll need to be quick if you want one. You'll still find some other good deals on Expansion Cards though - we spotted the 512GB version for £79 at Currys in the UK and $65.99 at Amazon in the US, for example. The 1TB Seagate card is also just $129.99 at Amazon (US) right now.
Don't forget this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days - we've got a huge guide here at Pure Xbox where we'll be highlighting the best deals we can find for Xbox consoles, accessories and more!

Still too expensive imo
That's a great price for a 1tb memory card!
Slightly better, but still overly expensive. At £114.99 it's still twice the price of the PS5 options. You can get 2TB for this price with a standard gen4 m.2 drive, or pay a little over half for 1TB.
@Ricky-Spanish
Its really not
@mac_da_man I bought a 500gb one for more or less the same so if you're inclined to buy one it is a lot cheaper at that price 😊
I hope MS get a grip of this for the next generation.
Crazy that they are far more expensive than the competition.
For those prices I'd rather just keep managing my Series S' storage
@Ricky-Spanish It’s a great price for a proprietary format memory card.
Really wish MS would have gone the industry-standard route and used the M.2 SSD slot like the PS5 does.
Man the price on these suck. I world really like one, but even with this I'm looking at 134 $. Got WD PS Branded 4TB for 280
I wish they would let me install and play the Xbox One X version on my HDD because the SSD is too expensive.
Half that price and I'm interested...
Not even close. 4 years on and expansion cards aren't hitting 40-50% off. 2nd worst mistake Microsoft made besides poor execution of getting the better 3rd party games first versus PlayStation. Seriously good Silent Hill 2 remake just released and completely missing on Xbox.
Your better off buying a used Series S to get extra storage space than these memory cards acting as a 2230 Nvme drive.
Still stupidly overpriced for what is essentially just a 2230 M.2 drive using only 2 lanes and stuck in a CFExpress adaptor. But hey, console makers have been screwing customers with stuff like this for decades.
@dskatter Funny thing is they do use M.2 internally. And even the expansion cards are just M.2 drives with the connector cut down to two lanes and using a port borrowed from cameras.
@Arkz MS is truly for the gamers at every opportunity!
