Welcome to the Xbox "End of Summer" sale 2024! Microsoft has just put around 500 games on sale for the next week-or-so, including some major titles such as Baldur's Gate 3, Hogwarts Legacy and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
The End of Summer sale, which bizarrely is known as the "Keep on Gaming" sale in the UK, is the obvious highlight of this week's offerings, but we've also got loads of other promotions currently live such as QuakeCon, Ubisoft, THQ Nordic and Borderlands sales. Some of these were pointed out here at Pure Xbox last week:
Below, we've handpicked a few titles that are included in this week's sales, with the majority obviously taken from the End of Summer sale (which lasts until August 26th). The full selection is available via the Microsoft Store app on Xbox.
The majority of these offers are expected to be available until at least August 26th, 2024.

If you haven't already played Baldur's Gate 3, then I absolutely recommend it. It is a steal at full price, so with a 20% discount Larian are practically giving the game away...
@Fiendish-Beaver seconded, but be aware this is a game that will likely take months of your time. Some of the battle later in the game can take over an hour to resolve. It's a big time investment but worth it.
@RiverGenie interest peaked, love long Final Fantasy battles so I'll look into it.
Is all of the save game malarkey resolved with BG3 now on XSX?
Still enjoying my backlog for now I'm only down for dirt cheap bargains for the next while!
@Isca I still see very occasional reports where players find all their data has deleted, but it's nothing like as common as it used to be.
You can also turn on the cross-save feature so your saves get backed up just in case - you can literally download them to your PC if you want to, but obviously you'd require a PC version of BG3 to access them in an emergency.
I've been meaning to make a guide on how to use cross-saves most effectively between Xbox and PC so that if the worst DID happen, you'd most likely still be able to recover your game. Will get to it at some point!
Damn finally getting some sales on games I've been wanting! I've been waiting for BG3 sale forever so now's the chance.
Is it worth getting the "Deluxe" edition, or just the base version? I generally stick to the base one, but I don't know if the in game extras are worth the extra £6.40. I don't care about the digital artbook or soundtrack that much.
Not gonna buy Baldur's Gate 3 unless it's a least 10 bucks or so.
But there are quite a few games that do interest me. Might get Forza Horizon 4.
@Lup I sincerely doubt BG3 will hit $10 before the PS7 happens. Good luck with that!
Is Cult of the Lamb worth it? And does the Unholy Alliance version (of € 12,49) offer the complete base game? The description can be read in two ways.
@dskatter
I'm not in any hurry. I sincerely doubt it's a game I would actually enjoy but want to give it a chance anyways just in case. But not at the current price.
@Lup Fair! I got it on sale for PS a while back and while it is a VERY GOOD GAME, I just couldn’t get deeply into it. But FF14/movie marathons were also distracting me from it.
Since it offers cross-saves, I do plan on picking it up for my series X as well down the road and playing with friends on both platforms. glares at Larian for not implementing cross-play yet
@Darude84 I picked up Cult of the Lamb on disc for $10 clearance at Walmart a few months ago and I enjoyed the heck out of it! Cosmic horror with cute animals is a surprisingly excellent genre!
@FraserG Thanks very much for that info.
I have BG3 on PC, but stopped playing it until all of the updates were done. It kept doing something weird where at the time it updated, it seemed to want all of the orginal files PLUS the update files. I kept needing over 200gb of space whenever it wanted to update (and my PC is only 1tb).
Toying with the idea of getting it for XSX as well as PC. I know that might seem daft to some, but the XSX is in the lounge, the PC is in the office, and I'm a lazy git
I finally started mass effect legendary edition yesterday, and am utterly enthralled. an absolute steal at this price
Probably get Cult of the lamb and the Stanley parable as that never goes on sale
I'll get Titanfall 2 Ultimate edition for $5.99.
One more for the backlog
Can't believe BG3 is on sale. I've waited a while for this. But having recently bought Witcher 3, Elden ring, rdr2 and now in the middle of AC Odyssey and cyberpunk, not sure if I will ever have the time for BG3. Maybe I should wait for a better sale.
Grabbed Rogue Legacy 2 at 45% off. Have been looking for another roguelite to fill the void after Dead Cells.
@Dimey
The best trilogy of all time IMO. I wish I could erase my memory of playing it and go in afresh all again.
If its not already too late, Female Sheppard is MUCH better than Male Sheppard. Jennifer Hale does an absolutely amazing job and is on another level to the male version. I usually pick male characters in games but for Mass Effect I go Jennifer Hale EVERY TIME. Some scenes can be quite transformative just because of how Jennifer delivers the lines, its night and day difference.
@richyroo I'm 8h in as Male, so too far to start over, but I did think several times that the voice acting for him is pretty stiff...
